    It’s crazy that they are just a bunch of kids basically who in my opinion put out one of the only perfect albums ever recorded. Every line, ever verse, ever lyric, every melody is absolutely flawless. Still listen to it to this day. Thanks for the memories

      Poison The Well - The Opposite Of December..... absolutely kills. I love me some NJ, especially with Josh but PTW can go toe to toe with BTMAKTC any day. I also think Mewithoutyou A to B Life is a gem. ETID has some bangers too. Also NJ the Anti Mother is perfectly done.

    I will truly miss Arron Weiss' energy during live shows. I was lucky enough to see mwY over 10 times in my life and he brought it every single time.

      I got to see them play Catch for us the Foxes in its entirety at Cornerstone. It was so amazing. I’ll never forget it.

      Yeah most heavy vocalists don't sound great when it's unfiltered audio captured right from the soundboard. I remember I saw oh sleeper live many years ago and Micah sounded amazing. They had live streamed the concert on Facebook and when I went to rewatch it it was audio directly from the soundboard and it sounded God awful

    I saw Norma Jean perform in a shoe box sized venue during this era and it was one of the most visceral performances I’ve ever seen in my 25 years of going to shows.

    I forgot about Norma Jean.
    I went to a show in Nashville when I was 14, in like 2006 or some shit. I ended up skiping out and roaming downtown with my girlfriend at the time for hours. Only listened to the show for a few minutes from outside. Good night though. I remember enjoying their music and actually wanting to go to the show too, but 14 year old boy me was also trying to get some. lmfao

    This performance was riddle with tension and frustration since Josh had just announced that he was quitting the band, shocking the other members. Even the delivery of some of his vocals are completely phoned in and unenthusiastic. He was like “meh I’m quitting anyway” lol. Everything just felt miscast with this band.

    Bless the Martyr Kiss the Child was one of those albums that when you played it it was just a constant head bobber. It might be a perfect album for that genre

    Back in high school my friends and I would watch these videos and laugh at how bad josh was. This was around the time oh god the aftermath had just came out. I mean we knew old Norma Jean was better just couldn’t understand why josh was so terrible live lol

      Bands back then relied on production a lot. Albums were great, but they all partied, smoked, drank, didn't take care of their vocals at all. Metal bands now a days, atleast the good ones don't do that shit before shows and actually practice. His screams aren't awful live tho. They are much better now a days tho.

      @@Bluuuu222 We toured with Norma Jean for 9 weeks (late July-September) back in 2002, right when BTMAKTC was released and those guys didn’t party like that at all. They were just spastic on stage, as the video shows. They didn’t care if they played, sang or screamed in tune and the kids that came to our shows didn’t seem to care either.
      I can’t/won’t see Norma Jean live anymore. No original members left and the last time I saw them it felt more like a cover band rather than Norma Jean.

      Norma Jean around this era (before Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child) weren't big partiers. They were just kids dicking around on stage that didn't know how to play their instruments yet so it sounded wack live but they gave it their all, at least with Josh.
