    Yeah...Borini and Lambert scoring, Liverpool winning, and Liverpool keeping a clean sheet all in the same game.........Didn't think it was possible. :D

    Emre Can is so impressive! For me he's had the biggest influence on how we have been playing recently.

    I really like borini. He hasnt scored much for liverpool but ill really like to see him play alongside sturridge :D

    Borini might have scored but he was really poor the rest of the match, not even good enough to be a 2nd/3rd choice striker for us. Mignolet actually had a solid game.

    Lambert did really well when he came on, that goal was sensational. The way he set himself up was class. Borini I was disappointed with after he got the goal. He took the goal well, but he ruined so many other chances after that. Coutinho wasn't as influential but I was impressed with Hendo who is starting to find consistency this season.

    2 of our strikers scored and a clean sheet, still some shaky moments at the back because we never make it easy for ourselves do we? Skrtel, Henderson, Coutinho all played well in my opinion.

    Very happy with the win, a solid 2-0 win is perfect for us, markovic is really impressive as a young player, he really gets us going at times very happy today

    forward passing from hendo impressive;range and accuracy :) thought borini could have got the head up and played balls through to the runners on a few occasions. Hqpoy to wait on sturridge for the long term- but imagine adding him to that first half performance. Yum

    My stream was fine, just saying!
    This week was a decent performance, and a clean sheet to boot. I think Sakho should be given a bit more credit as he was an absolute beast, in terms of change I think we saw more from him than anyone else in the team, although Lambert and Borini scored so they'll get all the plaudits.
    It was great to see everyone step up, we did look like we lacked leadership though, which is disappointing. I just hope this has given us the confidence to go in to February on a high, because our fixture list is stupid.

    I am always an optimist when it comes to LFC, but I don't think we're doing ourselves any favors saying that Mignolet had a solid game and Borini did well. Mignolet came out and caught a few crosses, but still does not command respect/inspire confidence within that defense with some of the other flaps. Also apart from his world class shot stopping, he does not offer much else (e.g., 1-on-1 closing, distribution, etc.). Similarly Borini, apart from the goal (which Mignolet could have scored...) squandered everything else. Mignolet at least has one mark of a good goal keeper (shot stopping), whereas all Borini has is a goal celebration as his mark of a good striker, and we only see it once every two seasons....

    We have definitely turned a corner, a couple of month's ago people were calling for Rodgers to be sacked. Seems ridiculous now.
    One major thing we have to do now is to beat the team's around us for top4. We didn't in the first half of the season, now we have to change it if we want top4. It's all very well beating Villa&sunderland who will probably get relegated.
    But if we seriously want to contend we're going to need to beat United, Arsenal, Spurs, Southampton and maybe pinch a draw against city or Chelsea. There's no two way's about it, we have to get results against the bigger clubs.

      we'll only turn a corner once we beat west ham

    • @lord8139
      @lord8139 9 лет назад

      LfcReviewKing Good point, shouldve included West ham. But yeah we are currently 8th. We just have to get results against the club's above us, it's how we done so well last year because we got results against the bigger club's. Also feel once that happens it makes it easier to beat the lower team's in the league as they'll be a bit more intimidated by are team then.
      Just hope the squad will be managed carefully. We're still in the 3 cup competitions. So there is quite a work load on the player's.
      Would love to see the us win one of them. finishing top4 is key but winning trophys is always brilliant. To attract more player's aswell to the club and would be great for Gerrard aswell :) YNWA

      i love your optimism lad! part of what makes liverpool is the wonderful fans who always find solace in he darkness and keeps a smile, i feel like we have got that intimidating factor about us against the lesser sides, we just need to dispatch them sooner otherwise they'll gget a chance to equalise, it only takes a dodgy corner or a deflection, we played similarly against arsenal and united and we were far better but the bigger sides will punish you for not taking your chances and that is why we need sturridge back firing, remember his goalscoring run last year? i fancy he'll emulate that

  • @BonJoviworstbandever
    @BonJoviworstbandever 9 лет назад

    very good first half, very lucky not to concede in the second. in a 3-5-2 markovic isn't a good enough defender to be able to play like a cafu/dani alves. out of position many times and got found out! but hey, a clean sheet against the worst attacking side in the league! all hail mignolet!

    • @BonJoviworstbandever
      @BonJoviworstbandever 9 лет назад

      John Scott to many crosses coming in from his side. especially from aly cissokho! not really markovic's fault either, he just isn't a defensive minded player. but if he's back in the side against chelsea as a wing back hazard is going to tear him a new one.

    • @BonJoviworstbandever
      @BonJoviworstbandever 9 лет назад

      John Scott yeah sakho is an absolute beast and mignolet was almost flawless. 10 games unbeaten now!

    • @SMThePhenom
      @SMThePhenom 9 лет назад

      BonJoviworstbandever I think you're wrong Markovic, he made some key interceptions/blocks. If anything our left flank was our weakest area. Hutton was spamming crosses in to the box the whole game. Cissokho had one really good cross where he left Markovic and Hendo for dead. I think Markovic has made the RWB his own recently. He is a great option there; he has pace & movement, he drives the ball forward & his passing is very intricate which is exactly what BR wants. I would still prefer him playing further up the pitch though.
