Hollow Trial: Eastern Rosella

We are working with Campbelltown City Council, the University of Sydney and Habitat Innovation and Management to investigate artificial and supplementary hollows for Gang-gang Cockatoos and other hollow nesting birds.
Our honours student Liam Doherty has been observing a host of different species using these both natural and artificial hollows. Here an Eastern Rosella is checking out a natural hollow as a potential nest site.
