    Simple tenses
A tense is a form of the verb that allows you to express time. The tense of the verb tells us when an event or something existed or when a person did something. Past, present, and future are the three main types of tenses
Simple tenses are verb forms used to describe actions or events in a straightforward manner. They are often taught to kids as they start learning grammar. Here are three simple tenses for kids:
Simple Present Tense: The simple present tense is used to describe actions or events that are happening regularly, facts, general truths, or habitual actions. The verb usually takes its base form (the infinitive without "to") for all subjects except the third person singular, where "s" or "es" is added.
    Examples:
I play with my friends every day.
    She likes to sing.
The sun rises in the morning.
    Dogs bark.
Simple Past Tense: The simple past tense is used to talk about actions or events that have already happened in the past. Regular verbs are formed by adding "-ed" to the base form of the verb.
    Examples:
I watched a movie last night.
    He danced at the party.
    They played soccer yesterday.
Simple Future Tense: The simple future tense is used to talk about actions or events that will happen in the future. To form the simple future, we use the helping verb "will" before the base form of the verb.
    Examples:
I will visit my grandparents next week.
She will read a book this evening.
They will go to the beach tomorrow.
These simple tenses provide a basic understanding of verb forms and help kids communicate actions and events in different time frames. As kids progress in their language learning, they will encounter more tenses and complex sentence structures.
course! Here are example sentences for each of the simple tenses:
    Simple Present Tense:
I eat an apple every day.
    She speaks English fluently.
The train arrives at 8:00 AM.
    We play games on weekends.
    Cats chase mice.
    Simple Past Tense:
Yesterday, I watched a movie with my friends.
He danced at the school party last week.
They played soccer in the park yesterday.
She finished her homework before dinner.
    Simple Future Tense:
Tomorrow, I will visit my grandparents.
She will read a new book this summer.
They will go to the amusement park next month.
We will have a picnic on Saturday.
He will become a doctor in the future.
These sentences demonstrate how each simple tense is used to describe actions or events in different time frames: present, past, and future. They are clear and straightforward, making it easier for kids to understand and use them in their own communication
