@@warrenscott9990 Thanks man !! Things went great today and I didn’t fall ! It’s a win MFJ says 1.0 from 27.360 to 27.440 4K peak fwd and about 4’ish watts reflect . I’m nailing it down 💪🏼🇺🇸
Being 1/3 blood American Indian, I have no fear of heights and no fear of falling. The thought of the sudden stop at the bottom does slightly concern me though. Great to see you are getting it tuned in Dallas. My vertical is at 40'. Home made configuration alows me to pull a pin and lower it to the ground for tuning and maintenance. No fear of anything but tripping over my own feet. 🙄 73, Brother! 👋 😑🦗
@@MowerJunkie Thank 151 ,, I got it nailed down pretty good 👍. I’m using two different analyzers My MFJ says 1.0 from 27.360-27.440 My Bird peak says 3500 plus and about 2’ish watts reflect coming back from the antenna to the amp ,, I think I’m done messing with it Of course that’s the Maco “dummy load” by the way 🤫🤫🤫 . Most people don’t know Maco makes a dummy load 🤷🏼♂️
@@390WagonMaster The first time I went up I was wishing I had a parachute 🪂,, but after a few minutes, didn’t bother me at all. The basket railing is really high . So that felt assuring
Awesome! Hey, i looked up the distance to you by Google and it said 501 Miles. So I consider that short skip. I hope a bird doesn't land on your head @ 55 Feet! Take Care Bro!
@@GiantSequoiaNation Yeah it’s nice to have it where you’re gonna be talking (In the air) after you get it as good as you can on a test pole . As I found out , it always changes from 10 feet up to 35, 45, 55, etc Im just glad it’s finally tuned correctly for where I hang out
@@CaptainD17 Day one a great success 4K plus peak forward on SSB and only 4 watts reflect . I’ll probably leave it alone My MFJ says 1.0 from 27.360 to 27.440 😎 It’s a weekend rental Picked it up at noon (Friday) take it back Monday morning at 0900. $325 out the door tax and bla bla bla Thanks for stopping by !!
That's a nice get up Dallas!

Damnit I love your setup. And how much easier is it to leave the antenna up and tune it in place with that boom?!
