Has there been any word about whom Lindy Ruff will choose as the new Team Captain? It will be between Dahlin and Tuch, and I would prefer Dahlin. And now that Girgensons is gone, who would get the second 'A'? Do you think he'll pick one of the recent acquisitions, or someone who's been on the roster for a few years?
Guys way too small though... 5'11, 163lbs is a teenager, he needs to get in the gym and gain a good 20 - 30 lbs in muscle before he can even think about the NHL. Benson has 10 lbs on the guy and he is at least an inch shorter, and Benson isn't big...

You believe in the long run Savoie will have the same value as Mcloed does now yet you expected the Sabres to get more for him? That doesn’t make any sense to me. If you see that value for Savoie wouldn’t it be reasonable to assume professional scouts and GM”s see the same? It sounds like you had an unreasonable expectation of the Sabres to find a sucker. It’s the NHL not a used car lot. While it may not be worth getting overly excited about, the Sabres also received a second player in the trade to play in Rochester. Doesn’t that help with the “value” of the trade as well? Savoie could turn out to be an excellent NHL player but as time goes by it’s not looking likely if you remain unbiased. Excluding unpredictable injuries to either player I think this will be an even trade. Savoie has only played 5 shifts in the NHL and the Sabres have other prospects ahead of him. Mourning the loss of Savoie for Mcloed and forgetting to include Tullio as part of the trade is over-done. Let’s also not forgetı that Savoie is a childhood fan of Edmonton, he was probably thrilled to go. Let it go guys. Review the trade in a season or two after things play out.
Have you forgotten that Tage can be a 40, nearly 50 goal guy when healthy? Peterka and Quinn should both be on track for 30 each. Tuch can do 30+. Cozens can do 30+. Benson is a wildcard and could be in for 15-20. That's just the top 6 and not even counting Byram/Dahlin, what more do you want?
If you guys still consider Benson a prospect I have no clue why you guys are running this podcast. Like did you miss the 71 games he skated in last season? Serious question…
