I'm impressed at how you can tell the difference between all of them, some look soo similar. They must have certain features that set them apart. Also its soo cool how you can get 50 dogs to eat while not fighting, my two cats have a problem with that (well the younger one mostly)
Really nice to get lots of tips how to train with my team of malamutes, but I will never be able to do the feedings like you, amazing how well trained your dogs are.
Do you ever get huskies with epilepsy? Do you spay and neuter your dogs? Looking for advice as to what to do about a 1 year old female Siberian huskies that has epilepsy. Thank you for your time.
😀 /Matti
What a wonderful video. Thank you very much Stina and Matti for showing us your routines, workouts and lifestyle. It is amazing to be able to see what you are doing through the screen thousands of kilometers from your kennel. Thousands of thanks for the work what you do with this channel and the videos. Hugs from Spain.
Thank you Michelle! All dogs deserve to be treated with lots of love, care and respect. I don't know any other creature in this world that give so much unconditional love as a dog. That's a gift we have to cherish. ❤ /Stina
What a wonderful film with all those happy Huskies! Thank you for sharing with us my friend had 10 husky pups and I took two of them and she did the same thing she had a back deck with a wood floor and she just went out there and hosed It off every hour or so kept it nice and clean
I just discovered your channel and I love your videos! I volunteered for a woman who runs sled dog tours in northern MN, USA, and I'm so curious how you socialize your dogs in a way that they can all run around together and eat together and there is no dominance fighting. The sled dogs I worked with had to be chained or on leashes at all times, each in a separate area of the dog yard (never more than one dog together), could not walk any dog past another dog of the same gender, dogs were never allowed off leash, never fed in a group, always hyper aware that they might break into fights at any moment... SO STRESSFULL! I would much rather work with dogs in a social setting like yours and am wondering how you do this? It always bothered me to see sled dogs on chains and leashed at all times and never allowed to socialize in a group or run around free, which is why I decided not to own sled dogs, because I did not want to do have a dog chained up all the time. I would love to learn how you socialize and work with your dogs to allow them so much freedom and safe behaviors! THANK YOU for producing this content!
Thanks for a lovely comment!!! I will try to give some answers... Our breed, siberian huskies, and the specific bloodlines we use is one part of the key. If you, for an example, have mixed breed with some Greenland dog or Malamut in the bloodlines there is a different type of dog...and that will usually makes mor problems. I would never want to change my bloodlines. ...but the most important part is time. Time with the dogs. They needs lots of hours during a year and they need rules. Our dogs are never aloed to fight! We stop all kinds of dominance behaviour directly. I hope I have given you some answers. Stay tuned and we will.make more videos from our kennel. /Matti
@@JOKKMOKKGUIDERNA I’m becoming a huge fan of this channel. I came here looking for resources regarding how to manage larger groups of dogs- I would like to work with bigger groups but have a huge fear of being incapable of dealing with resource guarding. I’m hoping to work with some professionals one day lolol, would love to hear some more about how you manage any guarding/ other pack behavioral issues. Do you guys have any resources you would recommend? I’ve heard so many different things 😅
Thank you! The dogs appear well cared for and get exercised regularly. The kennel design is good, the dog houses are simple, yet good for the dogs year round. A lot of work put in to look after the dogs. Do you have extra help when needed when something comes up? How old do the puppies have to be before you start training them for the sleds?
Thank you Harry for watching! And nice to hear you notice our care for our dogs. We do the work by our self just very few times we have anyone helping. This in combination with how much time we spend with them is the reason why we have so good interplay. You can start to train a puppy earliest by 6 month BUT you have to look to each individual an see how mature the are. Usually we start between 8-12 month and in the beginning, the first season, it's all about that the puppy should think it's fun and we never demand much of them until they have been running one season. You have to "read" each dog and work different with them depending on their development and personality. /Stina
Of course Annie is the most important she's the leader of the pack, showing the direction :) . I was going to write something about the dogs live however I don't have to because Harry Ewasiuk wrote more or less what I was thinking.
Thank you for you comment 🙏. But, Annie is not showing the direction she just runs in the front. The leader dogs in this video was Nisse and Clara. And I just want to say that a leader dog in the team are not the same as leader of the pack even if all Disney movies wants people to believe that. Maybe we make a video about that one day 😉. /Stina
