You should give crocheting a try. It's really not difficult. I'm teaching 5 of my granddaughters ages 7-15. If they can do it I'm sure you can! There are many RUclips videos available teaching the very basics from a simple chain to all the basic stitches.

Your design is beautiful, but the video is hard to follow in places. You appear to be doing 1 single crochet after you complete the leaf and chain 6 then you turn the work and do a second single crochet. I am not sure where that stitch goes. I know you show some finished fabric at the end, but you keep moving it around so I can't focus on how it is supposed to turn out. It would be great if you would post a still photo.
That second sc you mentioned is placed 8 stitches down the chain before the next leaf is commenced.
Here are some things that might help to follow the pattern.
You can slow down the speed of the video by tapping on the screen and then tapping on the Settings icon. Choose, "Playback speed," to slow down or speed up the video.
If you look at the top of the screen when the video is playing, numbers will appear. These are the number of chains and stitches that are currently being done.
