They're very real people and i appreciate them for it. I saw a commenter brought up the dkdktv incident, but i wouldn't say "take everything they say with a grain of salt" because that goes for every person ever. Never trust blindly a single person in the internet. Some of their new explenation videos are more researched than others, for example, the persona-shadow-ego explanations were clearly half-assed, but the Ugh explanation was very thought-out. In my opinion, and it is just my opinion, but listening to what is actually being said and how it is said is very important, whether it comes to their videos or anything anywhere really. People who watch their videos with the preconception of "they shaded bts that one time, their videos are bullshit" will only ever hear what they want to hear. This explanation was very well researched and thought-out and i'm glad you watched it. 💜
@@LandonMark just a quick note on that video. You'll see David (the other half of DKDKTV) trying to imply that the message of UGH can be applied to criticism they were receiving from ARMYs at that time (someone by the Name of Victory explained very well the situation a few comments up from this one). In general, now ARMYS keep a careful distance from the channel and it's two creators, because more than once they have used us (or BTS themselves) for clout and then have insulted us on other social medias later, when we're upset about it. it's just a quick heads up for that specific video, because they literally tried to get back at us with it in some way.
@@gatangela2008 haha yes that's me, i agree it's difficult because the explanation is good and really just the best one out there but the way they try to use the song isnt great. so I'd recommend watching the video but taking anything he says that's not about the actual song itself but about their channel with a grain of salt. but in the end it's ofc Landon's choice of he's comfortable doing that
Omg I can't wait you to listen to ddaeng and discover all the meaning behind it, bts and they way to write and have wordplay on their songs is just out of the world
Every time I view this video, I think Baepsae is my favourite BTS song and dance. It’s at the same time the most satirical, and the most FUN! Love love love the choreo!
Love you and your reactions Landon! 💜 you’re absolutely amazing! Xx you try so hard to get to know these boys and it’s so inspiring and respectful to these boys and the culture! X
correct me if i'm wrong. I remember Yoongi have a part time job when he high school but he didn't get paid for that. This explanations make me think about that. Just saying 😌
I missed a lot of Landon's vids due to schoolwork. So i marathoned his uploads.. i was shocked to see there's only about 10 comments. I was like "What?" Then i realized i'm fairly early for this one 😆
oh btw, ofc u can watch their videos since they are helpful but just so u know DKDKTV is kinda :// warning: very long rant about them to help u understand For me, the reason I don't watch all their videos anymore is that I find them hypocritical, which is very clearly shown in the main incident that happened between this channel and ARMY. Basically, one half DKDKTV, Danny (the guy in the video) was on a podcast with this K-pop journalist called Tamar. Now, Tamar has her own nasty history with BTS and ARMY. She's repeatedly published articles about BTS with facts that are either misleading or outright wrong, including articles that have harmed their career, but she never apologizes or acknowledges what she did and instead acts like a victim being persecuted by "haters." She's not a real journalist in my opinion, because she is way too biased, self-interested and oftentimes her research is shoddy, but sadly that isn't rare in today's media. SO, yeah, already DKDKTV having her on this podcast as a guest to comment on BTS at all wasn't the best choice and had people annoyed. Then they actually had to go and say borderline offensive things about BTS during that podcast and that just poured gasoline on the embers. Tamar, like usual, tried to defend her crap journalism by saying she has to use BTS for clickbait because when it comes to K-pop, they are above and beyond the most popular group (they're the most popular group in the world period) and sometimes the only way for her to talk about what she wants to talk about is to include BTS in the conversation. Now, if it was as innocent as that, it would be annoying, yes, but ARMY wouldn't hate her as they do. But like I explained earlier, that isn't all she does. Then she and Danny basically said that BTS has oversaturated the market and are everywhere and as a result, people are getting sick of only hearing about them and that it would be nice to see some new faces, aka that other K-pop groups should get a chance to shine. you know BTS's story so I'm sure i don't have to explain their backstory and journey to success So knowing their story, for Tamar and Danny to imply that BTS should take a step back and give other groups a chance as if they haven't earned their success a hundred times over, it is absurd. Also, both Danny (and David) and Tamar, whatever their personal opinions and feelings are, make mad money off of BTS. If they really wanted to support other K-pop artists and make them as big as BTS, they should put their money where their mouth is and actually do that, but they can't, because if they did, they would have to sacrifice their profit and clout to do so. And when they are called out on their bullshit, they get incredibly defensive.Like most online personalities, well, let's be real, people in general, when they get rightfully called out, instead of addressing some of the real issues and complaints, they focus on the nastiest comments in order to divert attention and act like they are being unfairly treated and criticized. this is the reason i very much disliked their ugh! explained video. David (the other half of DKDKTV) used the song's meaning and clever wordplay to get back at the people rightfully calling Danny out and say their anger towards Danny's statement was stupid if i recall correctly he did end up apologizing but only when he got a lot of backlash. I still enjoy their explained videos a lot since they are well structured, give you a lot of insight on the lyrics and easy to understand. So i do still watch some of them, However, I don't like to openly support them oh let me just add that this is in no way meant to ''cancel'' them. i dont believe in cancel culture i believe in educating and learning. i just wrote this to help u understand the situation, as i said before i still watch and enjoy their explained videos
Loved this, so much new information, when I first got into BTS I used their channel a few times for some explanations, but didn't know anything about all this
Landon out here trying to understand what's going on this song and some of y'all trying to drag DKDKTV 😩 Clearly the problems that BTS is trying to criticize in this song doesn't exist in their world. Read: there are bigger issues in this world than people's opinions on BTS. Landon like usual enjoyed the vid.
Just fyi, dkdktv have shaded bts before and have given misleading explanations. I wouldn't really trust everything they say, or at least take it with a grain of salt.
Which ones were misleading? I mean they’re korean and even if it wasn’t what bts intended it’s still a correct theory to the korean culture. From my understanding of the korean language, history, and culture, this explanation is correct. 🤍 I don’t think they’ve really shaded bts either and if so people are allowed opinions I haven’t really seen them be disrespectful and rude.
Victory thank you so much I completely missed that drama 💜 they are a bit hypocritical sometimes and :// fr they weren’t my favs but I found their explanations to mainly be correct
Victory they really deserve all their popularity because of all their hard work and inspiring spirit they spread. 🤍💜 others need to realise that if you think bts are too popular you’re just jealous your favs are not. If others worked as hard for their favs as they do hating bts their favs would be getting recognition. But bts deserves the recognition they uplift so many people and I believe haven’t had enough popularity yet, they’re still on the rise x 💜
When the choreography almost kills you but the depth of the lyrics brings you back to life...basically every BTS song ever 😂💜
"these boys are humping the air over socioeconomic problems" if that ain't bts in a nutshell 💀

I think the hip thrusts is also perhaps done mockingly based on the meaning of the song 😅
Agreed, and also I think as an "F You"...
But Armys out here like 👁👄👁
