The President's statement is relative. There may be progress in the political side, but obviously it is very different on the ground, on the frontlines. The AFP together with PCG are very much patiently trying to avoid any kind of confrontation with these Chinese vessels. May it be their coastguard, militia, or their navy simply because we are still under powered, out gun, out ship, and out numbered in terms of armed forces maybe 10,000 to 1. The best thing our Coast Guard, and the AFP can do for now is increase our patrols on our territory, put more inhabitants on the chain of islands in the West Philippine Sea, build new housing or facilities that will accommodate the people who will live there, and increase Inter-operability with other allied countries like US, Australia, Japan, and other Asian countries that are also bothered by the actions of China. Let us show our presence at make it known to them that we will not give up any of our territories. Worst comes to worst, World War 3. Which we all hope and pray would never happen. God Bless to both Kuya Ted and DJ Chacha!
