Honestly I don’t see this guy being talked about much in the western community, but he is quite popular in the eastern scene. He is an absolute beast on poppy and always play super aggressive in lane. To me the most memorable thing that he does consistently is ulting the enemy top laner out of tower and diving them in between tier 1 and tier 2.

He's a terrible player. He is carried by teammates and the enemy gives him wayyyyyyyy too much respect so his enemy play like Iron NPC.

Poppy is often overlooked because she can barely CS or do anything into ranged champ during laning phase but Poppy is one of the few champions in the game that can turn a 5v5 into a 5v2 or 5v3 instantly, her W also helps with the dashing meta, she builds full tank so she's hard to kill and will just sit on top of the playmakers but her usefulness really depends on how much farm she can get during laning phase.
She also had really good damage early game.
@@TheChrismasCow but it doesn't scale well at all and it's melee so Ryze, Syndra, Annie, Xerath, Malz, etc. will eat her alive in mid lane. Meaning that guy is very likely to dodge queues against ranged caster mid laners to have that 60% win rate.

@@daemok4752 Xerath would not be that hard if you just know how to dodge and high elo players do know. Xerath poke won't be enough to have any impact unless you hit your spells constantly. Poppy would likely take TP or play aggressive and pick ignite. Xerath cannot even follow roams. No wonder why Xerath mid has under 1% pick rate in high elo.

Poppy from level 1-5 has some of the most insane base stat and base ability damage and resistances. You need to abuse your early power or you will fall behind fast.
Tanks are literally broken. Udyr especially he shouldn’t be able to do that much damage WHILE being unkillable, having movement speed, and spamming shield. Udyr is the definition of 100% insta win vs all AD draft. He does it way better than rammus

@@jesterchester8428 Well yea, rammus got ultra nerfed. And rammus doesn’t have sustain. Once rammus w is off he can die. Udyr can keep spamming shield kiting with movement speed for his cooldown. Literally unkillable bro

True, such a pesky champ to deal with. Those players somehow find ways to be effective, because you cannot single out all the focus on Yasuo, but you can't ignore his potential to be a menace if underestimated and given free resources.

the matches are early game oriented. it’s sort of been like that for years. health is the most op stat for early game. 150 health ruby is an entire combo from a champion rather than 10 extra AD from a long sword. health is the best stat which is why i build it during landing phase.
Bro this dude has been challenger for a looong time and goes for rank 1 pushes early on in the season. This isn't his first rank one. He is a top lane main who moved to mid lane because of the top lane champion pool. He's been the #1 Poppy in the world for years. He plays Poppy, Warwick top (the only in Korean challenger until recently) and Ekko. He runs a RUclips named 세체뽀 (abbreviation for 'World's Best Poppy'). A great resource for Poppy players, as he is the only Poppy player I've seen that consistently outlanes Darius.

I saw this on another channel. When the enemy team locked in champs like Jayce and Qiyana, I knew it was time. I play a lot of Poppy jg, so I already have a lot of the core mechanics down, but the biggest one is that W! If you can time that you can avoid getting killed AND save your teammates so many times.

i have noticed this myself weeks ago, not gonna lie made me kinda curious. (to any neace supporters, the rank 1 player is a jungle main and plays nidalee, maokai and kindred, but according to neace those champions dont work for climbing, especially not in korea 🤔🤔🤔🤔)

I am still a huge fan of divine sunderer on poppy. she works so well with the item even after the nerfs. Build similar to nasus just divine and a bunch of tank/speed.
Funfact for midbeast, KFO actually stands for "Kieferorthpäde" in german, which means orthodontist :D
I play mid Poppy and I go Lethality or Crit. But I usually just play her top and fight Darius, Sett, Morde and even Aatrox and Camille. These champions destroys Poppy but I've played against them so much that I can fight these champions with relative ease now.

Ady is going a pure haste build. Gore->BC->Shojin, you get 100+ AH pretty quickly. Very fun, ive tried it a few times on Top autofill

I like it, but i think swapping gore for eclipse is just superior. The item is just much better than gore rn. Plus you only lose out on 15 AH at 3 items, in exchange for a much more powerful early spike.
I would like to see more games from this guy. This was too easy of a dub.

I love how Midbeans is like "I wonder what mythic will he go", when there's literally a build path with time of the purchase right above the scoreboard. Which is kinda bullshit, since it removes the element of surprise when it comes to items (like there's an element of surprise when the entire game is using the same items over and over again).

I main Poppy and I've played her in every role, and let me advice you not to try this, Poppy is weak in every possible matchup because even in the ones you "win" lane you need to have too much impact on the map for this pick to be worth it as it gets outscaled by any and all champions you pair her against. Many people think that because she has her W she counters champs like Sylas, Fizz, Talon, Leblanc... It's really not true except for maybe Sylas the rest of them either end up beating you in lane or have much more value out of lane than you do and if what you want to do is roam and have impact on the map there are many champions that do it better in the midlane. Poppy's best role is the jungle because she has better matchups (maybe not so much in this jungle meta) and has the ability to impact the map more efficiently without sacking resources. Congrats to the guy tho I'm happy to see a Poppy player rank 1 :D
Ive also played poppy in every role other than adc I would say mid is her better role jungle meta is so terrible for her. Your not playing a tank mid to scale. Your playing to roam bot and point and click oneshot anyone who stands near the wall. She has great wave clear so she can shove the enemy midlaner. She does lots of bonus damage to objectives and can win skirmishes with her R. If ur toplane you can't contribute to drag. Dives are so easy to set up. Plus her scaling isnt bad. Its bad for a tank but she can still set up a cc chain and peel. And she outscales assasins unless they find a way to get fed.
@@williamsmith6364 to do what you are saying champions like qiyana or talon, to name a couple, are way better, qiyana has "worse" wave clear but better roams and more dmg and talon has better wave clear and damage. Jungle is still way better because even if she loses to maokai and is not good against elise she still beats wukong, vi, sej... and she can use hexflash to do much more and even without taking into account the jg matchup her W is really good to set up dives against champs like camille, gwen, renekton... which you can do more often as a jungler than as a mid laner as you cant really take water walking or hexflash when you are playing mid because then you will Q twice and run out of mana. Mid poppy has less than 5 good match ups and what she does, shes not even the best at so mid is obviously not her best role. If it was you would see her often in mid and overall, not just this guy, poppy's mid winrate-pickrate ratio is stupidly bad because there are many ways for the enemy to counter the pick, if you pick it as a counter pick the enemy can just play crossmap and match your plays or if they can get the push because you blind picked or picked it when you shouldnt have to, you will just be useless. A role where you can only pick the champion 1 in every 20 games maybe less (unless you want to play like a second support and not farm, in that case pick her every game I guess, although then you will curve into your first 2 items even slower and be even more useless past the laning phase) is definitely not the best.
I also main Poppy. Although I primarily play jungle I think Toppy is stronger at present because the current jungle matchups are terrible. With Toppy you can lane bully everything (commonly picked) thats not darius and then have more impact in teamfights later. I am not convinced by Poppy mid. It don’t think its necessarily useless but I would never want to play against Viktor/Azir. That said its the only role I haven’t played Poppy in but I might give it a try.
@@mxcrftaa5508 Toppy is fine the problem is Poppy as a champion does not really want to be in an isolated 1v1 but rather teamfight and peel for her carries and top doesnt have it as easy to impact the map or appear in as many fights. Toppy laning is way better than Moppy and the match ups in general are better too thats for sure. I main jungle but it’s fun to play her in other roles like mid, not as optimal but fun still
@@3Dgaymer yea but you dont have to worry about laning because you can tank all the poke and shove in waves. Just run bot or toplane. Flash e and pin them to the wall if one person follows up you get a kill. Its so different then poppy top which is an early game lane bully that becomes a utility champ. Plus scaling usually doesnt matter in the midlane anymore. Just because adcs can hard outscale any mage now. Just run botlane get your adc fed come mid and push. Its like an ad alternative to singed mid which is my favourite midlaner. I have been playing poppy mid into lots of matchups mostly melee some ranged like ahri and leblanc. Its so easy to also contest objectives because poppy is a good skirmisher and her R is really useful so late game you will have more drags up and tons of gold from rift. Also poppy doesnt have any core items she can build what ever she wants doesnt need a bami doesnt need a sunderer because you dont need monster damage. You can just rush a FON into a mage and never die until they have 3 items.
