So basically, Kliptown is a suburb in Gauteng, South Africa and "Empyrean" means "heaven". Skrillex had held a music workshop with another artist a few years ago at the Soweto Kliptown Youth Centre, which acts as a haven for over 40 kids and feeds around 200 children everyday. Perhaps he was reminiscing about that day he spent time with many talented children, as he made this song.
Also some of the yelling in the background are the kids from Kliptown talking or singing.

Dude. I've been die hard ever since I was 11. I can't even find a Skrill song that didn't inspire me. Dude has been my biggest inspiration and creative idol for over a decade n' a half. His versatility and production are unreal. Fucking legend.

This “song” just took me back to gud’ ol’ day’s of 2k12-2k13. When I use to have no worries about life and just be chillin’ while playin’ Habbo (then called Pixeled) with my friends. Definitely this one has those classic and amazing vibes of old Skrillex. Thx for everything John 🖤.

this is probably the last song with Skrillex's original logo design. The next songs he released have his new changed logo. So maybe this is a kinda goodbye old skrillex type song
nope, don't get too close's album cover still has the old logo.
We obviously know now he used one of these vocal samples for Still Here off Quest For Fire and that song I love..great end track. But was my favorite one there because of the same reason i loved this track so much. Although Still Here blurs sub genres more, his 2-Step..this flavor of Future Garage sets the bar so high I think he just took the crown of my favorite. The listen is a journey everytime.

You saved my life so many times, you can't even imagine how such an inspiration you have been for this generation. My life changed since the day I listened to Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, that album made my childhood. You made me love artists that I didn't appreciate before they featured with you. Your talent will NEVER die, because I keep stucked in my heart every single song, interview, music clip, line and message of yours. I hope you will keep doing what you do till your last breath. I would never have tried to make music on my own without your example. And when I say example I don't just mean it in the artistic way, but even (and first of all) in the human way, in what you've gone through, from bullies at school to your beloved mom's death in june of 2015. The way you owned a decade of EDM, the way you handeled your career, your fame and your fans all over around the world. You are such an incredible dreamer.
