You really need to add a voice over. You have beautiful videos but i want to read the information. When i’m reading I can not focus on the videos which is a shame.
The e trailer looks like a pretty damn good concept! Only thing is,how much does it weigh? If it eats up much of your gross weight it could be less efficient after all. Save fuel,but loose pay load...kinda a toss up.
Yes, and I’m not too sure about that starting from a dead stop. That looked to me as the trailer on the left of the screen had two axels lifted and the e-trailer had all axels on the ground. And not to mention a pusher on a trailer would give a lead ifrom a dead stop
That was the point they were making. The powered axle on the trailer gives it,I don't know, half again as much tractive effort. It's basically a self charging battery powered engine on that front trailer axle. It charges the battery when you brake,and then powers that axle when you accelerate the truck.
@@Gonner453 I think if they eliminated the gearbox and axles and instead installed a generator a small battery pack and then electric motors on those axles it would be lighter.

Эти клоуны предлагают поставить на трейлер ведущий мост, к нему двигатель, инвертер, батарею. Про цену всего этого не говорю, еще один тягач можно купить .Исходя из размеров всё это заберёт минимум 3-5 тонн груза. А для чего ?Улучшить динамику на старте и увеличить тягу ка скользком подьёме...... Вопрос во сколько раз дешевле выйдет тягач с двумя ведущими осями и двигателем не 500-550 лошадей, а 650-700? А ведь всю эту электромеханику на телеге ещё и обслуживать надо....
I don't know how it is in Europe, but in North America, Volvo has a bad reputation, for their sensors/electrical harness failure rate. They look like they where only made to last ~2-4 years. Then you have to replace the harness, or the truck. Resale values of older Volvo/Mack, reflect this. Planned obsolescence, on a large scale. Best wishes all.

that was my first what i think about the e trailer ^^ sweet and nice but i guess not profitable
