    That’s a great video thank you for sharing it with us. Can I ask you though? What was the reason for the clutch adjustment? Thanks.

      The biting point may feel off as in it engages right att the and of the movement + a really floppy lever, Suzuki recommends doing this adjustment every 3000 miles I believe

      @@bikersquest Would it not be possible to adjust the clutch at the lever only? Do you have to do it from the engine side when you cannot do it from the lever anymore? Sorry, I'm new to this.

      My 2019 V-Strom gear shifting becomes difficult after 15 minutes of riding. Do you think I need to do this adjustment? It's almost 8000 Miles

      @@ukgardener973 Definitely worth adjusting on your Strom if it's mentioned in the manual clutch adjustment section, it will likely fix that issued you mentioned. You can't fix it from the lever side. One other indicator I had was after the bike was warmed up on the centre stand in 1st gear the rear wheel would still spin with the clutch in but wouldn't after the adjustment

      @@bikersquest That's exactly what happens on my Strom, the bike spins in all gears even with the clutch pressed.

    Where did you find the crash bars?

      @@mrletter They are the OEM ones made by Suzuki fitted even bought be from the dealer

    When you made these adjustments, has it made a difference to the ride?

    • @bikersquest
      @bikersquest  3 месяца назад

      Yep, the clutch bite is more consistent not super far out and the wheel actually stops with the engine running on the centre stand when warm (not that this matters that much but before the adjustment it would spin still).

    Do you have a video for a major clutch cable adjustment? What should the position of the clutch arm be in? Im about to install a new clutch cable

    • @bikersquest
      @bikersquest  Год назад +1

      No I haven't had the need to replace the cable yet but may do if it breaks

      @wannagofast5 Год назад

      @@bikersquest I have the same bike...would you happen to know how the clutch arm should be positioned when I adjust the cable on the engine side? I haven't done an adjustment before and can't seem to find a video with that specific type.

    • @bikersquest
      @bikersquest  Год назад

      @@wannagofast5 I'm not sure what you mean exactly, unless you've taken the engine apart there's no reason to adjust the clutch arm on the engine side? You may need to find the workshop manual and find the answer there for that. If you adjust the freeplay on the engine or lever side you need to check there's 10-15mm of free play at the end of the clutch lever that's all.

      @wannagofast5 Год назад

      @bikersquest I'll take a quick video and dm you if you don't mind. With the clutch cable off...the arm moves left and right...im trying to figure which way it should be when I put the new cable on...or do I just attach the new cable to the arm and make sure there is a little slack?

    Hummmm that engine need a clean. How can it even be this way. Lol. Sorry. Had to say it. Mine is 25000 km and still shiny as new.

      I have since cleaned it and it looks pretty new haha. Yea this is extra filthy the reason being is I made the mistake of spraying the engine down with XCP rust blocker which is very sticky so all the dirt gets stuck to it and it's very hard to wash off. Moving forward I'm sticking to ACF 50
