KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! THIS IS EFFING AWESOME! I can't believe Khan is teaching us about Set Theory. I think he's finally starting more advanced Math. I feel like I am in a dream. I already know most of this stuff but nothing equals Khan's level of delivering a message so I'll watch them all at least three times each. Thank you, Sal.

These tutors do not have misbehaving students to contend with when they are explaining... Hence it will always be easier than being in a class with disruptive students.!!!!
This was exceptional. I am self studying real analysis rn and I honestly cannot see what the need for over complications when explaining simple concepts like this
My god! I was having so much trouble with this, I spent a week trying to fir gurl it out on my own reading the material, I saw this and got it in 1 min 😂🤣🤩🤗
Your videos have made my studying 10000000% more understandable. Thank you so much, I am considering donating just because of how great of a teacher you are, and the fact that you are have this content available online for FREE. Completely blows my mind, you are a true hero.

There might be something I'm not understanding but "3" is NOT in x OR y. It is in BOTH therefore it is not in one OR the other. Even in the illustration only the things that DON'T overlap are shaded. (5:21-5:30)

I was pretty much trolling, yet I'm surprised by the information you gave me. I live in Sweden and set theory is part of discrete math here in Sweden, only studied the last year of high school and only by a few.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!! you are a better teacher than the dinosaur that I have for a teacher
My former math teachers ruined math for me. I went from straight A to C due to the fact that they were horrible either in math or in explaining iy
That’s a bit rude

REAL ANALYSIS !!! Finally))
i was crying over math and my bf sent me this 😭🙏 bless
5:24 Shouldn't you also cover the intersection since you write X union Y = {3,12,5,13,14,15,6} but you don't cover 3 in the drawing.
I love discrete math! These videos would have been much more useful if I had them last semester ;)
great explanation ...really helped..thanks

Thank you so much😂 that was very helpful. I never quite understood my teachers in these chapters but you explained it so good!

what if you need to define the intersect and both sets don't share any of the same numbers? how is that defined / expressed?
mettaworldwill That will give you an empty set or a null set.
It is technically part of Algebra I curriculum. So, it depends on when you take Algebra I. Most students take Algebra between 7th and 9th grade, depending on their level of mathematical ability.
