Im 73 years old, and I've been a fan of The Osmonds since Alan, Wayne, Merrill, and Jay first appeared on The Andy Williams Show. They've been performing for 50+ years, though most have now retired, and play at least 20 instruments...guitars, drums, piano, saxaphones, banjos, fiddle, just to name a few. I love hearing all The Osmonds sing (such as their 50th Anniversary show); i watched The Donny & Marie Show faithfully; but my heart still favors the original 4 singing brothers. The family members are: George & Olive (parents), Tom & Virl (usually only perform on Osmond Family Specials do to hearing impairment), Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, Marie, and Jimmy. Im glad to hear another Osmond reaction and can't wait for the next one. A big thank you from this subscriber.

I'm a little younger than you. 63. I loved the Osmonds growing up. I went to an Osmonds concert in the mid-70s. Great show. In 2016, Donny and Marie were doing a Christmas show at the Beau Ruvage Casino in Biloxi, MS. I actually met Donny. Thought I was going to pass out, trying to hide my excitement of meeting him. Got to talk to him for about 20 minutes. Great guy. That day was one of the most special days of my life. 1. Got to see Donny & Marie 2. It was a CHRISTMAS show (my favorite time of year) win, win❤❤❤❤
ps...the Christmas show was fantastic ❤❤

Look at the wicked moves. I get it why they were so hot in the 70's. My mom was in love with the guy who played the drums.

Donny and Michael were friends. Donny himself has said that You should also listen to them sing : I think you would really enjoy these songs. He ant heavy he's my brother. This song is about, a true story of two orphans trying to get to Boys Town during a snow storm. Upon ar-riving, father Flanagan asked,
"You carried him all this way?
    But wasn't he heavy?"
To which the older brother replied,
    "He ain't heavy,
    Father. He's my brother
The twelfth of never Hey there lonely girl
    Love Me for A Reason

They had some soul, and Donnie in the front though lol. They did their thing back in the 70s. I'm a J5 fan, but the Osmonds are one of my favorites

I really enjoyed watching your reaction to the videos of them. Im 61 years old, and l've been a fan of The Osmonds since I was in the 6th grade. I still enjoy watching them today !! At my age back then I was in love with Donny. He is such a great Christian man, kind hearted. He keeps it real. 🤍

Great reaction! I love Merrill, the primary lead singer of the Osmonds and I love Donny solo. Merrill recorded some videos during the pandemic and put them on youtube. He still sounds terrific, too.

The only thing I have to say is that the Osmond's and the Jackson's were the first Boy Bands.. I was a baby.. my older sister (RIP) made me listen to the Osmond's like a crazy girl.. she loved Donny as much as our Mother loved Elvis. they were 2 peas in a pod with loving a singer.

Elvis was responsible for their clothing. He surprised them with a complete new wardrobe he had delivered to them.

You need to go back to the 60’s when they started on the Andy Williams show. There is a video of them singing I’ve got spurs that jingle jangle and plus they also sing tumbling tumble weed with Andy Williams. The harmony and dancing is wonderful. You will also get to see how young Donny was when he started. Donny will be 66 yrs old this December and still going strong.

The Brother started on Andy Williams show back early early 60s I think. Without Donnie because he was too young. But starting from then the family had such work ethic and still into them from kids, they were known as the “One-take Osmonds” 😀

Actually, Donny was not the Osmond Brothers' lead singer. Merrill Osmond was the lead. singer of the band Donny was co-lead until his balls dropped and he couldn't hit the high notes anymore, as you see in "Crazy Horses," when he becomes mostly backup singer, though he does have some solos still, but in a lower voice.

the sonw was written by the singer/sonwriter/produccer Joe South for his friend and reguilar collaborator Billy Joe Royal in the early 60s. Billy Joe's version, as you might guess was country cutesty version nothing like this. Joe South made it big with his hit the games people play, and made far more morney from this version of the tracke than the version he cut with Billy Joe Royal.

You should react to the Osmonds' live concert performing their "Motown Medley "at the Ohio Fair in 1972. It's absolutely fantastic.
