Thanks for the video because In the future I have to get this and use raid 1 to backup my photos and have a peace of thought. I don't really do pro work yet, but I take photos everyday for the last 3 years. I have one question though, what kind of hard drives do these use one it runs out of space?
I got this drive and if I don't use it for around 10 mins, it unmounts itself from the computer. Never had this before on a drive, any idea why this happens, and if I can change this, and stop this from happening
Hey!Firstly thanks this was a very informative video. Plus you have a really Calming VOICE I must say :) I have a windows system I work on. I wanted to know what kinda speeds can I expect in a RAID0 setup over USB-C ? Their amazon page claims 440 MBps. Please let me know I am trying to get a faster workflow with RED RAW files.
I got 274 MB/s Read and 241 MB/s over thunderbolt 3 with this unit. Fast enough for 4k Raw Lite video.
man... the bokeh on this video 🤩
AMEN
This might be a good solution for my current backup solution!

should be any standard 3.5 inch desktop HDD. They need to be without the enclosure though
How is the noise of the enclosure when the discs are operating and when the PC is idle/sleeping? Thanks in advance!
Almost silent. It’s just a small, quiet fan. Nothing like the bigger arrays
Great video , as always. I have a question that does not relate to hard drives : do you think the Canon EOS R is a good B cam for the Canon C200?

Does it necessarily need a DP screen? If I wanna use HDMI, does it work well with a DP to HDMI cable or DP to HDMI converter?
Can you replace the drives. once they are full? Like can i buy two new iron wolf hdds and replace the full ones?
You would lose your data.
Crimson Engine so what do you do once the harddrives are full. Meaning you have filled up the entire 4tb?

i have the same problem let me know if you bought it
How is this different from the 2big they released last year other than the difference in ports. Is the speed the same?
This drive has USB 3.1 Gen 2. So theoretically a maximum speed of 10gbps. Whereas the 2Big Dock has USB 3.1 Gen 1 which is 5gbps.
is it silent or how loud is it?
Whisper quiet, thank God. I've had raid drives that need to be kept in a different room :)
@@Crimsonengine My G-Raid G-Speed XL sounds like a jet is taking off in my studio...
Thanks for this!
Hello there!!
@@DroneMotion ahaha nice to see you, man!😃😂
and when u will fill up drives, can u just put a new disk in?
Doesn't work like that. It only carries 2 drives and you need both of them for Raid 1.
Can we swap hdd and use ssd on raid 0? If so what speed can we expect? Is this thunderbolt 3 model?
I need a new hard drive already. Seriously considering this one.
More B-roll about the product would be great!
Great review mate 🤟
