The Chili Peppers should hire this guy as their next guitarist. I just think he has the right vibe that has been missing for a while. Lemmo could definitely inject some creativity there.

The transition logo was introduced in mid-'64 so its pretty common to see that logo on a '64 Strat. If you check out all the '64 Strats on Reverb most of them will have the transition logo.
I have yet to hear the difference between a transition logo and a spaghetti logo. Or any logo for that matter. But it is good to be precise since this is a education channel as well as sales channel for Norm's. Thanks for the call out.

That’s because mark would only do the stuff you don’t see every day, and by that I mean as far as, Mark would only do an original 64 strat, not a new custom shop 64 strat, lemmo stays more loyal to the name of the day, if it’s straturday, by god we’re doing a strat. Old new doesn’t matter. On Saturdays we play strats. Where as Mark wouldn’t do one if he didn’t have a cool vintage one. He would rather do something else that’s vintage and cool that he felt wouldn’t be around long enough to do another day. Can’t say which I prefer, they both kill GTOTD in my opinion, one isn’t better or worse than the other

Frankly, I'm POSITIVE (Michael wants us to stay positive) that GOTD would be better if they'd get past the cutesy nicknames for the five days, and just pick the best rare, vintage, and noteworthy guitars available. Think about it. Two days dedicated to two different Fenders, no days dedicated to Les Pauls, SGs, or any of the other Fenders and Gibsons that aren't Strats or Teles. A day dedicated to flat top acoustics, but no day for archtop acoustics. A day dedicated to basses that almost never has a bass. And a schizophrenic day dedicated to either Gibson Electric Spanish guitars, or to weird ass guitars. I've gone on the Norman's Rare GUitar website several times to look at some of the great, old, super vintage guitars they have for sale that will never be on GOTD. I'm POSITIVE we'll never see a d'Angelico. That one pre-Gibson acquisition Epiphone was a great guitar, but we'll never see any of the great old Epiphone archtops in Norm's store. Gretsch made some great guitars back in the day.. Do we see them? They have a Gretsch Country Gentleman signed by David Crosby! We'll never see it on GOTD. They have a Guild 1964 DE-500 Duane Eddy. It'll never be on GOTD. I realize that a lot of the guitars on GOTD will be Gibson and Fender electrics and Gibson and Martin acoustics. But does it have to be something like only one that isn't one of those per month? I'm POSITIVE that a little more variety would be a good thing.

Another beautiful edition to the Fender Stratocaster family; The 3 single coil pickups give it that warmer tone that’s been missing on the others, and the fact that it came out in a time when the company was in a period of transition makes it even more important

I think we saw this one in episode 75. It has the same pickguard cracks, missing backplate showing 3 springs, and blemish on lower bout. The cases has similar scuff marks on back edge. Both have pearl dots and transition logo (Lemmo said it was spaghetti). Look at video and see if you agree.
