ive just fixed my 171s, i had over 30v on the surround left channel. the thing that fixed it was desoldering 2SD2390 (Q803), Q856 and 2SB1560 (Q804). i lost the surround left channel for now, but the amp works fine now. new ics are already ordered, just gotta wait till they ship here. i hope i help someone with a similar issue, check the voltages on speaker outputs before doing anything from this vid as its the easiest thing to do.
Hello there! My AVR151 drops sound most of the times in any of the following scenarios: a) change of source b) pause and play of the same video This applies to all HDMI, ARC and Optical sources. What I have observed is, once the receiver loses sound, even the test tone is not working in the speaker setup menu. Once the AVR is switched off and turned back on after a few seconds, everything comes back to normal until either of the above scenarios comes in action mostly. Appreciate your help on this. Thanks!
Ensure if your volume level is set not too high when you change source, Secondly if there is any fault in one your speakers or even the outputs within the amplifier, it can create a false alarm to the processor & Finally it can be errors in the processor or allied circuits which might need investigation.
Lite Info For Everyone Volume is always around -30 to -25dB. I had changed the wires for the surround speakers since the supplied wires were not long enough for my requirement. It’s around 10m long for each surround speaker. I’ll disconnect the surround speakers and try again. Really appreciate your help!
Hello... Need yr support on fixing my AVR 247... Humming sound on one of the speaker channel... The speaker cable got short and then this issue started... Could you help in fixing this issue with me?
Possible failure of one channel outputs. You got to check on the MOSFETs & allied circuits, don't power without sorting out the issue, you could also damage your speakers .
Please check all your speakers at minimum volume level, then disconnect rear or front & increase volume. If it repeats try with headphones. In all cases if it trips, check power supply voltage. Finally it can be failure within the output circuits.
Hello hope you can give me idea for my avr171.originally the problem was there was no audio output on all the channels and when i check the transistors they were all busted maybe due to short circuit. Now after i replaced the 14 transistors after turning the amp on immediately it will go to sleep mode and shutdown
Please check again on the output stages, the fusible resistors must be taken out and checked as in circuit it will not read correctly. Check your speakers for short, connect headphones and test if stable.
You helped me a lot, I was tired for a long time.

Those components to be replaced or just cut the component off the board and use the avr?
Do you check ohms or voltage?
How about if when switched on it goes back to orange blinks what might be the problem?

Please also refer to the manual & do a full reset.
Good Luck

Processor reset I have done multiple times before but didn’t help. Will try with disconnecting the speakers. Thanks a lot!
