Yes! Been waiting for this video! Going to Vegas and staying at the Rio next month and being able to actually eat on property at an affordable price is a great option. Thanks again man!
I ate before watching and I am salivating watching this video. It all looks good. Heard the chicken tenders are delicious but way too expensive for what you get. Still want to try them. Thanks for the review Jaycation.
Great video, I felt I was there with you. The food hall looks like they have a great selection of vendors/food choices, BUT, the Buffet in its heyday brought in huge crowds (1.5 - 2 hour wait was not unusual) and of course it helped to make the Rio a "must go" to place. These food halls will not have the same impact on a casino's business. Just check out South Point - they have a great affordable buffet, fair table limits, and the casino is absolutely jammed. Is it really that difficult to figure out what draws people in? Food halls will not do it.
Jay at the Rio? I’m proud of you, for giving old Rio a chance. The young bloggers don’t flock to the old places much. Penn & Teller hung in for years👍. I remember when it opened & the sports book was fantastic. I hope the renovations bring tourist back. 😊
You know, it occurs to me that diagonally across the street is the Palms. They have a weekday brunch buffet for about $36. If I ate the same amount of food at Canteen that I could eat at the Palms buffet, it would cost me almost three times as much and arguably not be any higher quality. Why would I eat at Canteen instead of the Palms?!? At night I get it, you've been drinking and it's dark. Maybe you'll get hit by a car crossing the street. Sure. But during the day? I suggest the Rio have a weekday special around the Palms brunch times for the Palms buffet's exact price. It would be a punchcard type system where you get three "entree" menu items and three "side" items plus a choose your soda fountain drink from that multi-dispenser. It will use any and all Canteen stall menu items for this. Dinner and weekends, no deal. Weekday brunch times against the Palms buffet only. The reason why is, I could stay at the Gold Coast (for cheaper) and eat at the Palms (for cheaper by buffet volume) and never visit the Rio. Both of these casinos are directly across the street. And people are inclined to play where they eat and sleep. Rio, you still need a lead in; even if temporary till all of your construction and upgrades are complete . The weekdays are perfect for this. But, what do I know, I'm only a customer of casinos. Which means I'm supposed to accept what I'm told to and say "Moo!"
I like your video's man👍, keep it up. Im from Holland. And i check your video's every time when i go to Vegas. Greetings from Holland aka the Netherlands
I love that Vegas has decided to import all the restaurants that I can grab at Citizen's Bank Park. (Tony Luke's, Chickie & Petes, Federal Chicken & Donuts) Makes me feel like im back home in Philly!
Fun fact, here in Philly “Tony Lukes” is no more the OG is now named Tony & Nick’s. & most people from Philly get “mayosaltpepperketchup” on a cheese steak
The Rio's Carnival World Buffet became a casualty of changing times in Las Vegas. Buffets, once a staple for their all-you-can-eat value, fell out of favor with both casino operators seeking higher profits and a public with evolving tastes. When new owners took over the Rio in 2019, they opted to replace the buffet with a trendy food hall concept, offering a wider variety of dining options under one roof.
Hey Jay! Delicious looking foods! I appreciate you showing all these great dishes! You are an excellent tour guide for great eats in Vegas. Do you have a culinary background?🌯🌯🍜🌟🌟🌟❤
Did you eat all the foods you ordered for this video (or any of your other videos)? Or do you just sample them and move on to the next spot. That's a lot of food to eat.
I wish they had all those great choices for food when I used to go there every year for the WSOP. I would have never considered ever going to the Rio again (no poker room and for other gambling I only do Caesars and MGM to consolidate points) but now I want to go for the food. But hard to justify two Ubers when there’s so many choices to walk to on the strip.
The food promenade is a little expensive Jay, I for one, miss the buffets due to the variety and comradery between me and the other people eating it's one of the reasons I loved going to las vegas so much was because of the buffets. Covid was just an excuse for the corporations to get rid of them all because they wanted to maximize their bottom line, it is what it is I suppose, at least Wynn, Palms, South Point, Rampart, and Main street Station still have their buffets open and so does Caesars 😋😋😋 I have some place's you should visit, you need to head to Boston and visit the Encore by Wynn no one has done video's on that place at all and next you should go to Connecticut and visit the entire Foxwood's resort and then head over to Mohegan Sun which is another massive casino, hope you make it out there someday soon, we'll catch you on the next one 😋😋😋
I absolutely love your video! A lot of great info. & delicious food in the Rio Foodcourt! Keep up the good work Jaycation!
Salamat Nanay!

@@Jaycation True! The only way I'll go back is when they re-open The Vodoo Lounge. 😅

NYC chicken got me tasty 😋
If the quality and prices hold on, this is the only place in Vegas you need to go to eat.
its a great option!
The food hall is nice but i miss the buffet. Nothing beats it in my opinion.
Brother J what highschool did you go to? I went to Morris HS and Bell Jr. H.
Eventually, I think Las Vegas will do away with buffets! I wish I was wrong, but I noticed alot of buffets are closing and no new ones opening.
The wynn and ceasers palace buffet are still selling good because of the popularity but yeah I agree
Where’s @normageli !!! Need the grandkids come on !!!!
Calm down
Try wow wings for us
Just meat hahahaha
gotta make money!
@@Jaycation food and drink comps on you this July then hahaha
