Do you guys like Ekster wallets? Let me know what your thoughts are below!
Hello sir, great review! I've been toting around the same wallet for about 10 years and its on its last stitch. That said I've been wallet shopping for the last 3 weeks. I carry 6 cards, 10 bills (1-100, 1-50, 1-20, 1-10, 1-5, 5-1) and my drivers license. I only use bifolds and have not had much luck finding my new wallet. After watching your review, I purchased the Ekster Modular Bifold, Card Tracker and also received a free Cash Clip all for $100. It was cheaper then all the other wallets I've been looking at and I have to say it is worth every penny and more. So thank you for the honest and thorough review. Much appreciated!
Thanks for the lovely review Chrispy Things!
I was carrying an Ekster Parliament before I switched to a Dango wallet. I really liked it, and the leather on the wallet aged so well. Great video!
Looks like a good wallet but i think i barfed a little when i saw how this looks with 12 cards inside
Looks like a pretty decent product. Thanks for the review.
Nice review and great quality
Yes it is!
Giggity giggity
It's a very classy looking wallet. I like the fact that it has a detachable element to it. Probably best no to overload it though, makes it look way too thick!
Could you put the detachable piece in your pocket next to your phone without the magnet damaging your phone or your keys getting magnetised?
Are the other slots rfid protected? (The side w/o magnets)
Excelent
Won't those strong magnets damage the magnetic stripe on the cards?
Who carries that many cards haha. One thing we agree on, no more than 7. That’s a really cool wallet though and sometimes I miss a good ol bi-fold. Great review Crispy.
You’d be surprised at the amount of people who carry more than 12 cards. When you factor in rewards cards, ID cards, insurance cards and credit cards, it can add up.
But if I start to carry more than 7, I’m reevaluating my card priorities for sure. Thanks for watching!
By the way, dam that dango watch looks good on you, im eyeing one but im such a small guy.
So what size are your wrists?
I’m not exactly sure but not very big. I actually have small bones but had to work out constantly to even get the muscle mass that I have now.
@@ChrispyThings im about 152 mm, i never wore a watch but people say 45mm dango might be too big. Also i emailed dango, looks like they have new watches on the pipeline
@@DarkWish98 I have the fantom r and work great. try it .... its small
I always wonder, isn't it a problem having strong magnets next to your cards? Now I know that most credit cards use the chip now, but my license and grocery shopping card still use a stripe. And every once in a while I run into a reader that still uses the old swipe for my credit card. But no one seems concerned about this but me, so I just wonder(?).
If the cards are inserted correctly it shouldn’t be a problem. The stripe is at the top of the card away from the magnets. But this is just my take take on it because I didn’t test it.
👍
Ekster does make high quality items. If you like Bi-fold form factor it is the way to go..Still not my goto since I like more of a minimal design. You should run a compare with Securd twin wallet. Hold 16 cards and my tile. BTW Don't waste money on the Volterman smart wallets. Nice idea but doesn't work. Co-Worker bought one and waited months. Unreliable and already broken
Hi CHRIS
I Like your tube.
I feel bad that I can’t appreciate bifold wallets anymore. After going to a minimalist card sleeve from bellroy, I just can’t see myself going back to a bulky traditional wallet.
Ha don’t feel bad. I feel the same. But I appreciate companies like Ekster who try new things and improve on the bifold design. There’s still a huge market out there for bifold users.
Chrispy Things I hadn’t thought about it that way, but you’re right. For people who do carry Nicole’s, having the ability to take essentially a card sleeve out of your wallet if you’ve got less pocket space is pretty nice.
I think this wallet is a bit cumbersome, if you carry that many cards, might as well go with something from ridge or trayvax. I see the unique quality and how it goes with some people, but to me this is no better than a traditional thick wallet.
I totally agree. If you have to sit down and try to figure out how to stuff everything in your wallet, carry a fannypack. It'll hold all your cash and a couple hundred cards plus room to spare.
Can somebody explain carying 12 cards to me? I still have my Blockbuster card but i don't carry it.
Very inconvenient
Wouldn't the magnets in the wallet damage the cards?
I didn’t have any issues with demagnetized cards while I carried this wallet.
@@ChrispyThings Well not all cards are the same. Did the website say for certain whether the magnets are 100% card safe?
Damn who carries all them cards lol
You’d be surprised. I read a lot of comments saying they carry up to 20 cards. I only carry 7. Of those 7 only 1 is a debit card.
