Python Scripting: Iceray Pattern

In this video I will cover some of the basics of python coding in grasshopper. We will look at a modified / simplified version of the iceray shape grammar example developed by George Stiny.

Is there any solution if i want to do the pattern with another shape that it isn't a square, like a hexagon or a circle? By the way, great tutorial, it was really helpful.
