- Season 1, Part 2 of 4: Life on the road as a professional surfer has introduced Laura Enever to amazing people-it's where she's met some of her closest friends including boyfriend Granger Larsen. In the second installment of IM LAURA, we join Laura and her friends in Western Australia and Victoria for two of the biggest surf competitions of the season at Margaret River and Bells Beach. Despite pumping waves Laura struggles to find form, and the future starts to look a little uncertain; Laura opens up about the challenges she faces and highlights the importance of self trust whether that be in surfing or any aspect of life. love how this episode's focussing on her closest surfer friends! also one can sense her vulnerable character in this episode which shows her as a good human, in the first one it felt pushed and intended (i had the feeling i had to feel sorry for her, i didn't like the way). i am starting to get to know the real laura enever, if thats even possible from my couch. you are startin to grow on me, lovely laura! chin up - after loosing mostly comes rising again! you have it in you!

Hey, I kind of need some advice on which board I should get. I. Can definitely surf on a foam, and fairly well on a short longboard, but I think I should by a funboard or a mini-mal. Which company or board do you recommend. I can stand on a large fun, but can't turn or control well. Please advise.

Laura if you ever got the chance to be a freesurfer instead of just being on the world tour, would you take the opportunity or keep competing?

If she wants to win she has to put a100 percent effort into her sport, hit the gym and train train train, eat right, get enough sleep and ease up on the parties. Hope she can achieve her goals.

laura...how do you feel about surfing 'margs' etc, knowing that western australia is the official shark death capital in the world? does it play on your mind?
ive been surfing in wa for 45 years and sharks are on the increase in our waters and so are the deaths. i know it plays on my mind every time i go out now (which is now not that often).i think to get to your best surfing is to 'soul surf' and not to try n do too much. sometimes less is more and to go forward sometimes you need to go back!
I've only been surfing for 1 year and I'm 12 but I wanna be a pro surfer I think it's too late though
+Giulianamcg it's definitely not too late at all! Keep it up, try looking into local amateur contests and compete in as many of them as you can. Surf a whole lot ad have as much fun as you can!! Never lose the stoke! I'm 19 and have only been surfing for a few years but the pro dream is still there for me too :)
