We had to smile. You call 29c a beautiful Spring day. Donna and I (here in Ontario, Canada) call 29c a too hot Summer day! The scones looked fantastic. Jam and cream, complete the dream. (I'm a poet and didn't know it). 😉
We are a bit later than usual to watch your videos- so we’ve only just heard your lovely message. Thank you so much! Hopefully we will meet again soon. You’re a brilliant couple! 😊😊
Hi Beth and Paul thank you so much for your video about Flaxton. We were recently on the sunny coast on holidays and visited The Barn for some lunch and couldn’t resist a takeaway Devonshire tea for our afternoon tea. I also bought some wonderful herbs which were potted up. Keep going with the videos of southeast Qld we really enjoy and look forward to them. Michelle
Hi Michelle 🤗 Thank you for taking the time to comment. We’re really pleased to hear you visited Flaxton…our family had lunch at The Barn yesterday and it was delicious! We love receiving feedback from our viewers and especially hearing they have visited somewhere we suggested 😊 We hope you had an awesome holiday 😉
Good day Beth and Paul, what a delightful video! People may not realize the work and talent that goes into producing a video like this. We have added the Barn and scones to our Noosa area agenda in early November. I used to spend my holidays days in the 1960s and 70s on the North Coast of Cornwall staying at my grand parents home in Trebetherick overlooking Daymer bay. The Hinterland and Sunshine coast in many ways takes me back to a simpler time that no longer exists in the old country. I used visit local farmers house for our clotted cream. Then stop by the Rock Swiss bakery for freshly beaked scones, Cornish pasties and saffron cake. The Autumn colours and cooler days are starting to set in here in Ottawa and we are very much looking forward to being back in Australia. Best wishes, Mark. 🙂❤
Hi Mark, November is a fantastic month to visit the Sunshine Coast ☀️ The weather is usually perfect that time of year and the hinterland is a wonderful place to keep cool on hot days. We really enjoyed reading about your holidays in Cornwall….they’re fantastic memories and you recount them so beautifully 🤗 Ottawa would be amazing in autumn….we hope to visit Canada one day, it’s always been on our list of places to visit and every Canadian we’ve ever met has been super friendly and nice ❤️
Wow! Never heard of Flaxton that Tudor looking house that's a pub as you drove into Flaxton looks like it was planted there straight from the English countryside deffo going to visit Flaxton thanks for that
Hi Finlay, yes, it’s called The Craft and serves craft beers. Unfortunately, it wasn’t opened when we visited. It hasn’t been a pub for long…it here was a well known French restaurant before that. Thanks for watching 🤗
Greetings all the way from Malaysia, Island of Borneo. Hi Beth & Paul, watching your videos making me excited to explore more about Queensland. Your videos are interesting. Well, making my bucket list added and become longer for my coming holiday in Queensland. I enjoy all your videos and always looking forward for a new video. Regards
Hi Lillian 🤗 it’s so lovely to hear from you because we ❤️ Malaysia 🇲🇾 and have had some fantastic holidays there…..including Kota Kinabalu 😊 We’re really pleased you’re enjoying our videos and that they are useful for your holiday plans ☀️ Take Care
Another beautiful slice of life on The Sunshine Coast .Spring in Queensland must be so pleasant. A suggestion Harriet and I might make about your pool and the pooping birds, that is if you're going to use your pool a lot is to purchase a retractable cover that opens and closes automatically or a pool cover that you can manually do yourself. I would check with the pool dealers in your area. It's easier to keep the water clean and just hose down the cover. We have a retractable one as we had the same problem. Great Video! Great Choice of Music! Love you Guys🙏❤🙏 from Harriet, Jim and Yuki. Richmond. Va.
Thanks Harriet and Jim 🤗 I didn’t explain it very well, but the birds will sit on the glass fence and poop on the travertine tiles around the pool. The pool water itself isn’t affected. It’s not a huge problem but Paul may have just cleaned the glass and the birds dirty it and the tiles straight afterwards. I guess we need a pool scarecrow! It’s warm enough to swim most days now ☀️ A pool cover is an excellent idea though because our nights are still cool here so the water temperature drops quickly. Thanks for your feedback as always ❤️
Love that view ❤ I don’t think I ever appreciated the cream tea until we moved to the UK - I will miss proper Cornish Clotted Cream when we come home - not sure I’ve ever seen it sold in Australia? Weather looks delightful.
Hi Intrepid Nurse 🤗 Yes, we must admit, Cornish Clotted Cream is amazing! We just did a quick Google search and the Woolworths in Noosa sells it 😳 When you return, might have to have a holiday in Noosa! We have had great weather lately 27-28c everyday ☀️
Thanks Lynn, my Scottish Nanna made great scones and my mum did also…but these ones were extra good with chunks of ginger and dates….I came home and did 21 laps in the pool to try and burn it off ha ha!
What a lovely little village and those scones look amazing! We always go for the jam first and cream on top too! 😊When we visit Devon or Cornwall on holidays in England a cream tea is always a must. We’ve added this place to our list….we were originally just coming over to Oz for a month or so next year but there’s so much to see and do in Queensland we’ve actually now booked 2 months haha 😀 The hinterland just looks so pretty and the views stunning. Have a good week and thanks again. You’ve made planning our trip so much easier with these videos so we’re very appreciative.🤗
Hi Julie 🤗 Thanks so much! That’s awesome that you will have two months here ☀️ That’s a really good amount of time and you’ll be so relaxed (and suntanned) by the time you return home! It also means you won’t have to rush around, instead, if you really like a place, you can return there later in your trip 😊 We’re so happy our videos have been useful for you…this kind of feedback keeps us doing them ❤️
@@BethandPaultravel thanks ❤ Yes we should be pretty relaxed by the time we’ve finished! 😀We’ ve just got our BiG 4 holiday park membership sorted so we can use them for some of the time. We’re looking at reviews for them and they generally seem good but any thoughts obviously welcome from you both if you’ve stayed at any before. We love the idea of being flexible and being able to return to places we really like so we’re trying to build that in to the plan. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing more of your videos 🤗

Hi Alison and John 🤗 Yes, us Aussies love scones with jam and cream probably as much as you all do in the UK! The tricycle tide sounds like fun and that’s so nice that your local church makes cakes for people ❤️
As close as I'd ever want to get to heaven. Poets Cafe down the road in Montville is my nirvana! Was that a Tesla i saw? Be the first EV I've seen with a bale of hay in the boot
Drove up there couple weeks ago and it was very beautiful definitely one of my favorite places I've ever been to
That’s great! It’s one of our favourite places too ❤️
Lovely, I love Aussie ❤

Good for you Beth well done. My mum still makes scones she's 84. Has to make them without fruit for my daughter when she comes back at Christmas
