    Another great video, and thank you for the guitar review! You're right in that there was a lot of soul coming out in the sounds, but honestly a lot of that comes from the player, and you brought it out of this guitar in spades!

    What a beautiful stylish guitar. The pick-ups are quite interesting. Not sure if the neck p/u offers the deep jazzy base, but it's rich and clear as you said. The neck p/u is almost country sounding like a Gretsch, so that could be very interesting. Comparing this with the Gretsch Streamliner you showcased a few months ago would also be nice. I loved the Gretsch, but the simplicity and quality of this model is worth looking into. Always enjoy these discoveries on your channel.

      Hi Guy! Thanks again for coming out to the show last weekend! Yes, I agree with you about the neck position on this guitar having some nice clarity. I found the pickups to be nicely balanced. I’m sure it could do the traditional jazzy thing quite nicely. Just for me personally I tend to keep my tone control fairly high on my neck pickup as I like that grant green or Wes Montgomery transparent clear tone when I play jazz. You reminding me though that I should play around with the tone controls more on these videos as I think there’s a lot of useful sound when we use them to their full advantage. I do like exploring the range that they have to offer quite often!

      Yeah, I’d say I have a pretty sweet job :-) I definitely consider myself very lucky! I was really impressed by this guitar. It’s nice to try some different manufactures instruments like Godin. I’ve always liked the brand but haven’t played a ton of their electric guitars in this style

    Great demo lucas! I bought a similar guitar, sunburst, not sure about the pickups, i think its gofins. Anyway it sounds good. I like your playing very much!

    Subbed! Thanks for such a great demo - I liked that you could hear the acoustic sound of the guitar in the room and not just the amp, and that you didn't drown it in reverb! Have you played any of thee other Montreal Premiere with the gloss finish and (I think Spruce) center block? Great work, really like the way you do your demos.

    This guitar looks stunning. I want to buy a new guitar and I must say that Godin starts to impress me the more I look into it. I come from a metal approach and I'm not sure if I should go for a Tele or a Semi-Hollow for Blues and Jazz stuff. Anyway, nice demo and really good presentation. Keep up the good work!

      It’s hard for me to know which one would feel more comfortable for you. I’d say give as many variations of both a try as you can, so you can figure out which is more comfortable. I might think a telecaster would be more comfortable if you’re coming from the metal world, but it’s really hard to know. Thank you so much for your nice comments on the video, and stay tuned as I’m uploading as much as I can

      @@LucasHaneman Thanks for the feedback! I just went to the music store and tried around 15 different models hehe. Finally came to like a Godin Les Paul Radiator. Tomorrow I will try a Godin Summit which is also a Les Paul. These guitars feel so premium for the price I can't believe it. Peace!

    Hi Lucas. I love your channel and think you are a fantastic player! Any insight comparing this guitar to an Eastman T59 or T486. Looking for something to play jazz, rock, and blues with but having trouble finding any of the guitars in stock right now to try. Thanks.

    • @LucasHaneman
      @LucasHaneman  2 года назад

      I have an Eastman T185, which is a similar size to this Godin and I love it! I mostly play jazz, blues and funk on it, so I would say you’d be fine with any of those Eastman options. The workmanship is impeccable on most of the Eastman guitars. Sorry you are having trouble finding one in stock to play. Do you mind me asking where you are from?

      Thanks for the reply. Seems like Eastman is getting great reviews all over. I’m in Toronto and a few Eastmans arrived at a local store this past week. I’ll check them out for sure. Thanks again Lucas.

    Hi Lucas! I'm curious what is the fret wire size on this model? how wide and tall for the fret? Thank you.

    • @LucasHaneman
      @LucasHaneman  2 года назад

      Hey! I wish I could tell you, but I shot this over a year ago, so I do not remember. If I think back to it I did not really notice anything out of the ordinary, so I assume the standard Gibson style wire, kind of medium. Hope that helps in any way. I bet you could look up the spec on line if nothing else.
