This is the best breakdown I have seen on these! Other channels ensure to loosen the bolt or not tighten it up before cutting to ensure they look bad. I have ordered x50 of them to resell just now thanks to this video. 👌🏻
I would definitely like to see the knockoff leatherman scissors go against the actual Leatherman scissors because those knockoffs are a beast, sad to say... If u use each component of the tool for what it's meant to do like u did at the end with the coat hanger then I'm sure it would give the actual Leathermans a run for their money...... Also I see the component on the scissors that u called a seat belt cutter being used more as a box opener sort of tool since even if they were razor sharp, the scissor implement would still cut faster for seat belts probably...... Anyways, great video, even if unfortunately it will make people buy the knockoffs even more now, especially if the price is right.
I don't think it's unfortunate for people being able to afford something that works versus spending a great deal more for a Leatherman, especially during these inflationary times. The shears do appear more designed for the garden than lighter weight cutting.
We reckon that this may be slightly an unfair duel..! Nevertheless most folks would buy what is affordable & maybe functional etc regardless of branding. Always enjoy watching your show matey. Cheers from Australia.
Great review as always! The 13.00 ones sold out right before I was about to pull the trigger, that suckered really bad, im watching for when they come back..
Great demonstration Mr. Kincaid. You destroyed your multitool shears for the sake of the channel and us viewers. I wonder how your SOG shears would fair? I think they'd do great considering the fake raptors did well. A lot of people like SOG and Leatherman, I think they know an EMT or First Responder could definitely trust the performance of their products. If they had any doubts I don't think the company could bring them to market or not market them as emergency response tools.
Ironically the shears that broke did so because they had plastic side inserts that buckled. After the video I put it back together and it may still work! Pretty amazing!!
I have a fake leatherman rapture scissor tool and the one I have is awesome. No issues. I rely on it at work and it hasn't failed me yet.
Very neat! I have seen several reviewers seem determined to make this break or fail so I was surprised in general testing how well it held up!

Probably so. The real Leatherman Raptor I assume is far better!

Thanks for watching! I hope they get back in stock soon!

@@larrya197140 Nice!!
That was fun to watch. Was hoping to see the coin get chopped!
I was shocked they held up as much as they did for the price they are!
I think the 13 dollar ones broke more because the coin slipped between the blades.
Probably so. Good observation!
Really cool video!
Thank you!
hey don't cut my nickel!
Really appreciate you doing comparisons like this 👍
Thanks!
