Number 1 and 4: are 177 air rifles I have 2 of them, and are approx 35 - 40 years old.
Number 5 looks like A 12 Gauge Smith and Western or a Beretta (I'd have to ask my dad what that really is, if someone knows his guns, it's my dad) Think we still have one of those locked away in a safe somewhere. (Still have all required licenses, including the explosives license needed for the Elephant gun that uses black powder)
The random barrel resembles the one for a 410. (When I used to shoot that was the only one I would use at Bragbury End Stevenage)
How can you tell it’s a .177??

@@2005Guyver02 There’s no difference in the outside diameter of a .177 and a .22 barrel. I’ve owned loads of them.
@@G58 looks like I'll have to dig out the rifles and pinch a .22 to look. Will also check if a .22 was ever made for that type of rifle between 40 years ago an now.
@@2005Guyver02 What make are you talking about! I don’t know ANY air rifle manufacturer that only made .177 models. They all make at least both. And .22 is the most common.

Congradulations Nigels, well done. I'm assuming that they were used in crimes of some sort, I hope. If someone just had these in their posession, and freaked out because they didn't know what to do with them, it's a shame. That double barrel side by side looked to be very old and high quality, if not custom. It would be a huge shame to destroy such a high grade shotgun like that.

@Nicky L Many people in the UK these days have spent some time in the Army so are comfortable handling weapons (sorry firearms the police are frightened of the word 'weapon').

Ever thought of doing a big search, with the right authority. Using a crane or rotator mounted electro magnet and clear out a section of waterway to allow the fish back. What is pulled out as scrap may pay your way.

I respect you lads fishing off the side of a lake, its becoming a nuisance for the emergency services when people are doing it off of a bridge or busy roadside and causing a complete shut down when something dangerous is found i.e grenades etc. So thank you for doing it safely lads.

What an amazing find Nigel 6 in a bag, that’s how I found my favorite firearm find so far a WW2 model 1938 Thompson .45 caliber with a 100 round drum magazine completely disassembled in a duffel bag, my second favorite one is an AR15 I pulled up as well, congratulations on pulling out 102 so far my friend, Merry Christmas to you and your family.

The random barrel 21:15 you've just referred to, may be, a four ten shotgun, they are lightweight shotguns that are often first guns for youngsters, also known as ladies guns (due to them been lightweight). The top two look like very expensive ones, the black and silver one may also be a ladies shotgun 😊

The alarm is something usually given to employees for the panic alarm system in places like casinos or banks. Press the button and police will be notified of distress and come to the venue
Cops can’t help but give directives, not a wow or great job but leave them in the bag!

There's a whole entire arsenal in that gem bag. Like someone did a robbery and was hiding the evidence. Hense the weight inside. What an exciting find. Glad you met your goal. Maybe there is another bag in there somewhere with more pieces of the puzzle.

a lot of sawn off shotguns have the stock cut off as well so you can hold it in your hand to control it better and you can hide it better.

That looks to me more like somebodys old grandad has died, the family has discovered various guns in the attic/garage and (grand)son has cut them up to fit the bag for discrete disposal. I found a couple old .22 rifles & ammo in my grandads garage and they went a similar way into the river Clyde. Easier than getting involved with the police.

Shotguns can't be traced via casings and bullets so no need to ever throw them away after use like a pistol so why throw 5 away
Owner had no licence.
Probably, someone had unlicensed arms and did what they thought best a completely destroyed the and dumped them
Easiest and best way (for them) to get rid of them. They may have been owned by a relative who had died. Chopped up and in a river is the best way. Anything else is nothing but trouble in this country.
