Me personally, I think we could've been better. But I appreciate all the POSITIVE comments. Deleting the extremely mean ones. :/ There is a difference between criticism and just being plain mean.....
I'm still salty about the exaggeration of the stuff when we're doing it. Though I think I've been acting like a bitch for that. I'm not trying to insult the choir I sing in myself, but....cultures can be strict and I don't like the fact of insulting one, nor do I want to appear a bitch about possibly accidentally saying that I feel like I'm insulting the language.
I graduated in 2014 so maybe things have changed but unless you were at Contest you didn’t have to leave your folder away. HOWEVER, the music was there solely as a guide and we were not to look down at it unless necessary. We were expected to hold them (a certain way, in fact, so we didn’t look sloppy) but not use them unless we lost our place, basically. I always thought it was a little funny but I appreciated it because I get stage fright!
@@BazingifyIt I graduated in 2018 and in my 4 year of chior i can onlh remember one time using our foulders and thats because we got the music 2 days before our concert and because it was a song that we had all 5 different classes sing together. Other then that they were basically band from coming on stage with us so im not really used to seeing binders on stage
I was part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Women's chorus many years ago. We sang this very odd but pretty little tune. It was a bit difficult to learn, as none of us spoke Japanese, but it came together very well. Did we all sound or look like fireflies? Not really but I still remember it as a very lovely experience.

I have to sing and play this on clarinet for band at school lol we do it nothing like this tho hah we suck (and we aren't a choir so yeah... Its a very simplistic version)
this is quite good. there is room for improvement but that can be said for anything. I was a bit surprised with them holding their music though. May I ask why you had the music with you on stage? I'm just genuinely curious. My choir teacher would never let us have our sheet music on stage

I remember doing this in a choir, but it was much faster and more equally balanced (volume/emphasis) between the 3 parts. It's about fireflies, which blink approximately evenly. Nice song that's stuck in my head a couple decades though!
We are singing this in choir and I think we are better.I am not trying to be mean but, you could work on blending and mouth shape. But you are pretty good. 😃😉

I did this song back in hs...years ago and it took us forever to learn it and I still remember the words. Funny it's about fireflies
We're learning this and it's hard!
Mousita Mousita I use to learn this in 5th it's pretty easy
Saaammee
SAME!! and we are in 5th grade!
like cave, echoing :D
@@darius3500 yea it's pretty easy

heirvine what type of event was this performed at?
I think it was quite beautiful. We're singing this for pre-uil and I love watching this
heirvine this was fantastic! I’m learning this in my group, and personally I think it’s amazing

I have to memorize this for choir by Saturday, so yeah I thought they sounded fantastic...
man I remember doing this song in the tenth grade... y'all sounded better than us!
really focus on having a balanced blend. It was pretty good but 1st soprano was a little over powering. But i enjoyed it😊
Wow my newest is learning that in her middle school now 2019 x3
i remember learning this song and so hard lol
they were a bit rough at the beginning but got better though out the song and i'm also a bit surprised that they had there folders with them.

Well done! This is a hard song since it seems to echo
Lord E we sing this with our choir and wer are between 11-15 years old
Nice job!!! I sang this in tenth grade. Fond memories! I’m glad Google knew what I meant when I googled “Japanese children’s song fireflies”!
I do think a decrescendo at the end would've sounded nice
Lauren Whitley the whole concept is to be ppp at the end. I think they ended around just piano
I loved it
Why
my 8th grade school choir is going to preform this.. pretty hard for 13 year olds with a small choir 😂
I’m a 6th grader and we preformed this piece. These people are a lot older and their singing it.
Yes, good job as a 6th grader!

Singing this with my middle school choir, Bristow

Most collegiate choirs don't memorize their music due to difficulty or due to how much music we're singing.
Lol someone who did high school choir critiquing a college choir...ok XD

PS: for those performing this, listen only to the people next to you, not ahead of or behind you!
Follow the music. All I've gotta say, :)
Where I can get the score?

This is way too slow. The tempo is 152.
But it's a good sound overall. Nice.
👇 Choir gang
Your in the wrong you started with a b flat but you have to start with an a
I thought they were great and their vowels were actually decent
I THINK ITS G
No
They weren’t too bad, just a bit out of tune. The first sopranos were too overpowering and loud
our choir did better than yours sorry
post video proof and im sure she'll believe you
