Great video Greg. Do you know if the ice maker solenoid/valve at the back of the frig is trigger by the ice maker or the main circuit board? I have no water dispensing into the icemaker and the fingers will not turn to flip the ice out. Thanks.
The ice maker sends a signal sometimes to the board to tell the valve to open but in most cases it is a direct line to get the ice maker. The ice maker doesn't really know if there is water or not in the tray, so if the arms aren't turning the ice maker could be at fault
My icemaker just keeps making ice.it fills the bucket and the just keeps going. If i dont turn it off it would literally fill the freezer compartment with ice. The off switch in my model is atually part of the paddle that swings over the bucket. That swing arm appears to be working properly ... Even used it to put it into the test mode. Any ideas? It is better that it not producing ice but having to turn it off and on all the time is annoying and i suspect moving that switch back and forth all the time will cause failure sooner or later. Thanks for listening.
I have same model icemaker. It over fills the mold and makes slabs of ice . And it leaks during harvest cycle while melting the ice. is there a way to adjust water level on electric ice maker ? Please help.
Is it adding water to already frozen ice? A lot of ice makers don't have an adjustment, it's set in the factory. But I'll have to look and see about that
No I watched it turn on heating element and start dripping. I suppose judging by the odd look of the ice it might be dripping slowly while it's freezing and increasing ice size to where when you start melting it it starts dripping so possibly the water control valve is bad.

Thanks Greg.
@robertdaniel2735 no problem, hopefully that helps.
If the ice maker doesnt trigger during the diag test, what could be the issue? Light is green
You would have to make sure your getting proper voltage to ice maker and if it's good the ice maker would need to be replaced.

Thanks for watching, some models didn't have a very good overfill shutoff, some needed to be switched manually sometimes.
