My theory is that while you are crouching, you are disorientating the enemy when they expect to see a player lined up in height; what you are doing has thrown them off almost completely off their A-game.

Staying crouched for the entire game can be helpful since everyone's aim is head level so it would be a little harder to headshot you before you can kill them before-hand

Tip on Glacier map: what I do to get some good kills is that I use the transparency on the walls to help know where the enemy is and when to shoot, this helps me a lot but it may not work sometimes
