I got my motor license earlier this year and bought a transalp as starter bike. I do alot of highway and commutoring. And in my spare time i like to ride through the forest on gravel etc, nothing extreem. I love it, for me. It has plenty of power for a first bike and does indeed everything a bit so i can really explore what i want in the future. I can recommend it if you aren't to expierenced at riding and wanna go on adventures on road and off road :)
You can disable ABS by removing one of the fuses. I do it on all my bikes. Good review, I had one of the first XL600s and loved it. Bought a lot of bikes in between and now back to Transalp again, the 750. Great bike.
Hi there. Sorry to hear that. Maybe try to put back the plugs that you replaced and see if starts again. If it does then you might have the wrong set of plugs. If not, try to see if you have a spark on the plugs. Its easy to do. Put the plug into the cable and attach it to a metal place into the bike. Starting the bike will give a spark. If does, then that is not your issue, if does not then it is. Hope you get sorted. All the best!
Sure. If it's well maintained these engines can last forever. Have a look one the videos that I did regarding buying one. There you can find some help tips on what to look for when getting one. Is the one that you are looking at a 650 or a 700 ?
@@44degreesmotorcycleadventures i am looking for a 700xl. how many km do you have on your 700xl? did you have some issues since you released the video?
@@Gerhard_K hey there . I bought mine almost 4 years ago. It had only 4k miles on it. Now it has 24k miles. So far I never had any issues. Aside from my disc brake that I had to replace the rest was maintenance or upgrades. As I said if the bike was well maintained and serviced regularly, you should not have any issues with the engine. Of course there are other areas that you need to be aware of. Like the spokes which tends to rust from the inside out or bearings etc. Have a look at my video as I said for the thing to look for when yo are buying one. Good luck!
