Shore brake waves remind me of when I was a kid and tried to throw my boogie board over a wave and failed and got pulled up and over the wave straight into the sand
I got two for you: Surfing north shore Hawaii for beginners, not to beginning surfers, but just newbies to the north shore. Take a California surfer, who can confidently surf year around (but not a pro by any means, just a good all around surfer). Where do you take them, what do you warn them of, prepare them for etc. Kinda goes with the above, but curious to know more about Pipe/the shallow reef etc. I feel like the movies portray it as extremely dangerous, but clearly you all surf it just fine. More about it is dangerous, but here are the insider tips to mitigate it or, it’s dangerous a certain time of the year/size, etc. Stay psyched brother, got a few novelty waves for you if you’re interested in Central Cal (SLO)
