1. Log into your account on the Ipsy website or app.
2. Once inside your account, click on your Glam Bag Plus membership and view membership.
3. Scroll down until you see the words: Beauty Boost.
4. Click on beauty boost to activate it.
These are also the same steps to cancel your beauty boost. Boost will be charged at the end of the month and you will receive the next month's boost. If you sign up for boost in May, you will receive the June boost product.

It really was!! But honestly all year I have enjoyed the boosted products. I am really pleased with the choices they have in that category.
I agree with you saying there might be old products, I bought a Anastasia eyebrow pencil thst I always buy at Ulta, it took a lot of my eyebrows out! I freaked out and stopped using immediately, thankfully they’re growing back.

I have that IGK, but that label is new to me, at least. I also have the Icon Bronzer, and I love it, their fairest shade works better for me than most.
I also have gotten old and expired products from Ipsy recently. You should contact the manufacturer and give them the numbers on the bottom to find out if its old before using it.
As I mentioned before, in one of your latest videos I work at an Ipsy warehouse and I can tell you that at my location I personally went through most of the products myself and checked for expiration dates, that was late last year.... but obviously I can't speak for all Ipsy warehouse locations!
I remember that dry shampoo… It’s outdated.
How were the dates? Were most things expired or did they have a good date?

My Icon box came with 3 out of the 8 products that were wrong this month. I contacted Ipsy and they sent the correct products, so I actually got some bonus products this month.
Also, There is a website that you can put the product batch numbers into and it will tell you the date it was produced.
Oh really?!?! Ooo I am going to have to google this and look into it. That would be super helpful!!

That's nice. My 3 choice items were missing & my beauty boost. I was so disappointed. The replacements should be here today so I will keep y'all updated on if they are same products I originally choose.

No, youre not confused. I recall some of those products. I only received boxy charn for several years. Im not happy with thd Ipsy take over.

Your definitely right I received a highlighter in the iconic London and a square one I think a lot of there stuff is older boxycharm but I have been so disappointed since Ipsy took over boxy it’s so much worse
Everything that you got in that mystery box was old, the smashbox highlighter palette, we got that in 2019 or very early 2020, that is why I stopped buying stuff from the Boxy shop's. In the beginning 2023, my middle Boxy charm box they sent me was a box, that was the same item for item mystery box from mid 2020. And at that time I was done with Boxycharm. I was sick of getting old products they couldn't sell. But I think you are okay with the IGK Dry shampoo because it has the new label on it. 💜 Love you!

I know the value is there, but I couldn’t get through the skincare as fast as they sent them. I keep pausing unless it’s like the ND palette etc. Tyfs beautiful 🤗💖
My sister got the ND palette! I think it was the blush duo. Maybe it was a bronzer, can't quite remember. But I know she said she got one in her iconbox. I would most likely do the same if I didn't share them on youtube, haha. I don't need this many products! So yeah, I totally understand skipping until you need something.

We didn’t recieve the tarte glow highlighter before. We got the juicy lip glow that looked the same but pink and we did get that glow highliter that had a doe foot applicator but the one you have there is a new one to the boxes. It gets so sonfusing when we get similar items from the same brand. As for the iconic London blush we got the highliter palette in the last official boxy box plus there was a bronzer from them too. Lol. It’s so hard to keep track. 😂😂❤❤
Ahhh yessss!! Forgive me, you are absolutely right! It does get confusing! And I swear my brain remembers only 80% of the story, lol. I recognize the brand, packaging, size, and then it forgets the shade or if its a blush or a highlighter. Doh!
I was super happy with both my icon and boxycharm box. I have seen some that weren’t great but I enjoyed mine a lot. My boxy had the violet Voss palette, the fumme facial oil, LYS cream bronzer, Anastasia cream blush, dew of the gods night time body scrub and the Kate Summerville hydrating serum as my boost. My icon box has the ND bronze and glow face palette, the huda mascara, the Amika hair serum, the Joanna Vargas magic serum, il makiage lip glaze, fenty fat water toner, Kate Summerville bio mimicking peptide serum, earth harbour neck cream and as my boost the Elemis cream. Again I’m really happy with both plus I got two of the elf whoa glow facial sunscreen/primer at only 3.50$ each. I live in Canada and here the sunscreen is like 15.99$CAD so even with the exchange rate from USD I got a really great deal on it. I checked the expiry date on both and they are good till July 2025 so I’m very pleased with that also. Have a great day Sidney!!! I really enjoy ur videos. The chic beauty box subscription is way better
I think your concerns are justified. Some products have been around a very long time. But i think those products are seen more in the shop now. Compared to earlier this year when all we were getting in our subscription boxes were Boxycharm warehouse clearance, products that have been sitting in the warehouse for up to 3 years ago.
I almost didn’t get the Icon box. I actually cancelled it when i saw the curator and a couple of spoilers. I knew it was going to be skincare heavy.
But i signed up for it last minute and didn’t get to make choices. My box was okish. Not the best but considering, i made no choices, it was a 4/8 for me. Definitely, got my moneys worth though.

I believe a LOT of what Ipsy sells is old, if not expired. It's how they turn profit, buying up inventory from companies going under, like Complex Culture and Athr Beauty. I've been suspicious for quite a while.. got completely fed up last month with the whole ND Fez palette debacle. The sent me a damaged one, I complained. The replacement was damaged exactly the same way. And they expected ME to fix it. Anyone notice that palette was NOT for sale on the ND website?!
And Apparently IPSY knew about all of those broken ND palettes yet they still sent them out to everyone!! So fucked up!! 🤦🏻♀️
@@sophiamlarson yes, they definitely knew! They sent us those "heads up, oh by the way" letters, like, "there's a CHANCE this MIGHT happen, but REST ASSURED, here's how YOU can FIX IT!!" Ahem! NOT my job to FIX Ipsy or ND's problems. Do I have a tattoo that says, "SUCKER," on my forehead? NOPE!
The old IGK has a different label and the tarte highlighter is one of they're newer releases

I got the Joanna Vargas serum as an add-on to my boxy charm. I think I paid $18 for it. I haven’t used it. I was excited to see it
It seems like boxycharm is being treated like a red headed step child since the take over of ipsy.
Thank you for your review, Sydney. Honestly, I was disappointed in my August icon box, as I felt like they did a bait and switch. I received two icon boxes previously and the 3 products they allowed me to choose from was offered different for me this month than previous months. I had 3 products in mind that I wanted to select, from their product reveal. Unfortunately, this time the 3 products that they revealed were no longer available as a selection, but only as purchases. My profile stated I only wanted skincare - and 3 of the 5 products they selected for me were makeup items. I had hopes to get the Joann Vargas serum, or even the 7 acid peel ....but these were only available for to me to purchase over and above my quarterly subscription for $18 each. I don't think they should reveal icon box items only for them to replace items with last minute product changes - and then remove the revealed items into their add on selections. Totally A bait and switch marketing tactic that I feel is deceitful. I'm very disappointed.😡
I totally understand what you are saying!! So last year when the X box was first announced, Ipsy said the Huda beauty palette would be in it and everyone was so skeptical. Because Ipsy had done this so many times. They show a huge hype item and then no one gets it. But surprisingly everyone got the palette. Fast forward to the next box and even a few after that...huge hype over a certain item and then no one gets it. I started calling it the unicorn product- rare and hard to get. And I do think they are still doing that, I just have gotten used to it. A bit desensitized, you know. Not that I mean to, just kind of happens until someone points it out to me again. Even if you decide to cancel, keep an eye out. I am sure you will see the unicorn item every quarter now! It's always a huge expensive brand name or high price tag item, and then very few will get it. And you are right! They make it available as an add on to purchase. But this box is expensive to begin with! So yes, totally understand what you are saying. Thank you for pointing it out again!
that tarte highlighter is a newer product, Im pretty sure it was only released like a year ago

From boxy charm months ago, I got an iconic trio of blush/highlighter in the same package as that lip/cheek trio, so that could be why it seems familiar. I have also gotten a lot of old products, especially from the shop, that I refuse to shop with them anymore. I skipped this month and probably next month. I’d recommend contacting the company with the batch number and they can look it up. If there’s a website, that would be awesome, let us know if you find one
A few people said there is a website to look up batch numbers, but I am not finding anything. Some are just specific for their brand only. So I am not having much luck. I placed an order in the add on shop for 12 items just a couple of weeks ago. They sent me 3 of the 12. -_- I did open up a ticket, but its just odd to me that they charge me and then expect me to fix it. They won't give you a refund if its out of stock. They just hope you won't notice. Grr

Boost item is awesome. The rest is meh. I’ve been getting so much skincare & so many w/expiration dates. Not happy. I want more makeup n newer brands. I saw yr other video it was a disgrace. I thought we were going to get “new brands” new launches. Idk it seems same old brands n no excuse for mold n expired dates. TFS some good items but not worth the price! ❤
My icon box didn’t arrive. When I inquired they said they were sold out and then refunded my money. 😢. No fun.

Yes! I chose it as 1 of my items. I also chose the fenty toner and the earth harbor product.

I’m like getting more skin care in my boxes than make up
I cancelled. It was my first Icon box and I have beauty boost. I was missing my beauty boost & my 3 choice products. And I wasn't happy about my power picks they did not match my profile. Very disappointed and not worth the $75 plus I spent on it. And with that price I just can't give them a 2nd chance
you can get it corrected & they'll send items.
@@YVRCasting they are sending replacement, but as far as matching my beauty preferences it was a total miss and spending $75 on a box of products I won't use is just a waste. And it's the 3rd time I've had something missing. So I cancelled the boxycharm & Icon upgrade. I still have 7 months left of the ipsy glam bag since I signed up for a yearly of that. And with that each month I am getting 1-3 products that don't match my profile preferences. And I do the reviews too. And I keep getting same type of products that I say are not for me. Once my year is up I'm cancelling that too. I specifically chose that sub because the claim to match items with your preference and they aren't getting it right. And I just do t want to have to deal month after months of missing products it's too much of a hassle having to do the whole glam bot thing. I think there are other subscriptions that will bring me more joy.
I was annual on Glam bag and Boxycharm with Icon box added. I write reviews for everything and write them and it did no good. I just cancelled as well. I told them at least 10 separate times I don't use or like liquid eyeliner or Bronzer's. Yet I get 1 every damn month. My 3 mid 20 Daughters love it because they get so much of my subscriptions.
@@TheJessicaf37 after my year is up with glam bag I'm cancelling. There's a lot of other subscriptions out. I have been looking at fire & nice which has a mini for 13 a month. You get a 2 oz candle and smaller handmade bath items. Which I will def get more use out of. Since canceling the boxycharm & icon. I think come fall or winter I will sign up for the beekman 1802 subscription. Their seasonal fragrance tote seems like all bath items which I know I will use. I'm still so disappointed with boxy & icon because I was really hoping to like it since they claim to go off your preference. But after getting countless things that didn't match missing products the joy of taken out of me, who wants to deal with customer service bot every month.
What a dull box, my humble opinion. I prefer cosmetics over skin and hair care ❤
