How to EASILY Get the “Speed run” Achievement in The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe

- The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe came out recently and I absolutely loved playing through it. I thought I'd make this little tutorial because while researching how to speedrun the game I found an easy method to get this achievement. To get it, you have to beat the game in under 4 minutes and 22 seconds (excluding load times). Enjoy!

Actually, you can get the achievement by going into your System Settings and changing the date to 10 years from now... That is, if you're fine with cheesing it.

You can just change the date to ten years
now all I have left is to get "Super Go Outside" can't wait to speedrun that achievement!
you can actually do it really quickly if you just change the time on your computer to be 10 years in the future, and then you can just change it back

If you change the clock on your pc when it's actually 10 years you lose the achievement
The run becomes much easier once you do the jump circle glitch and can skip waiting for the gates to open by waiting on top of the gate and hopping down to the platforms as they rise

Probably can also significant shorten waiting for the lowering door if you hop onto the railings and then over the door

What’s the jump circle glitch
@@Epiccheeseman69enter the jump circle and begin the game again, it will let you jump forever (until you use up all your jumps, yeah, they still count the jumps)

Thank You! I've been trying the walking on the rails and falling on to the platforms trick. I just couldn't get it. I found the bottom of the mind control ending but this was way easier.

Great video. Can still save a few seconds if do the cut on the first desk so jump over fence and onto that first bridge but totally optional as this method is by far quickest seen yet. Thanks!

By sheer coincidence I got the shorter boss room when I tried to get the achievement the first time. Even though I think I was pretty fast I didn't get it, so I wonder if this is even possible without the stuff mentioned in the video. Besides: Good guide! I am the proud "owner" of the speedrun achievement now. xD

Time saver! (Not the speedrun time just your time) if you traverse corners well enough you don't need to restart until you get the random starting point.
at 5:07 you can climb on the chair and table to get on top of the railing, then drop down on the rising catwalk before its even visible, this saves a few seconds

Simple enough. Go through the boss’s room twice, maybe 3 times. Then keep restarting until you start in the other starting room. Also helps to perform the jump glitch before starting this.

I found the Mind control facility Easter egg XDD Amazing
i've restarted like 20 times and haven't gotten a different room.. whenever i get to the boss's room, he opens the door right away. sometimes when i restart he says something different and once the floor was covered in papers. but no shortcut

I have tried your method three times. No trophy. Do you know how long your speedrun took?
not exactly, but right around 4 minutes and 20 seconds. maybe try deleting your save data and then trying again on a fresh save?

How many times did you have to restart to get the short route? I must have restarted 50 times now and I’ve only gotten the normal route and the one where there’s paper on the floor everywhere a couple times

you just need to begin the game again over and over until it appears, it shows up randomly
@@TheZinkYT you sure theres no hidden requirements for them to start appearing? idk if i just have the worst luck but im on reset 250 and ive only seen the paper on floor one like 5 times and thats it.

@@Prometheus2008 damn bro I kinda forget what I did but there definitely was a hidden requirement. I think you need to get a few endings up until the “ultra deluxe edition” DLC doorway appears. Once it lets you start doing dlc ending the alternate starts should start appearingz
@@kopo2206 no, it’s not. In order for that alternate start to even have a chance of appearing you need to have progressed enough for the ultra deluxe edition “New Content” door to appear. In order for that to start appearing you need to do a couple of the base game endings.
If you were to start a new game and immediately go for it like I did you will literally never see this hallway. It only becomes random once you’ve unlocked the hidden criteria, if you haven’t it is literally as far from being random as possible.
