Shouldn't you replace the upper and lower mating cams? On the kitchenaid website, it says, "We recommend replacing both the upper and lower cam at the same time."
The instructions were great for the portion shown. I WOULD suggest NOT removing the lower of the 3 screws on the frame of the fridge. Then there is another portion of the part that attaches to the base of the door that was not shown in the video. Make sure you check for that-you may need to remove the metal plate to get the plastic out if it’s as bad as ours was.
I wish they would do a repair for both the top and bottom cam. Why would you only replace half of the mechanism? If on part is worn wouldn't the other part have worn also? What was in the video was good, but could be better if they showed the whole job.😢
