If it's David's turn to open a gift and it isn't for him shouldn't he either be allowed to complete the opening and the girls wait or let him actually open something else? Just wondering. It's really great that so many people send gifts but since the majority of gifts are to the girls would it be helpful to place packages in piles of girls/ boys/home etc. It just seems unfair that the boys get things taken away from them by girls before they get to finish their "turn" at opening
Sarah is just so sweet and helpful. It looks like she tries to be helpful to everyone in the family. Such a joy to see an older child being so sweet to all of her siblings.
As the mom of three boys (well, men now) I think there has always been there is so much more cute clothing for girls! I love seeing the girls happiness but I agree the boys need just as much attention! Maybe some things for their new digs in the summer kitchen? mine always needed socks, tshirts and pajamas. They all got basic tools and their own tool boxes when they were young teenagers.
As the mom of three girls and sister to three brothers, I also know that the girls are a whole lot more appreciative of cute clothing than the boys are. Boys like to look good, but they aren’t nearly as picky about what that entails as the girls are. Of course there are exceptions, but as a general rule unless it’s a particular brand of work clothes/shoes or hunting clothes/shoes, boys just wear whatever mom puts in the closet. And once in while whatever they’re big sister tells them to wear. 😂 And there have been some fantastic gifts for the boys previously in addition to an awesome telescope in the previous video.
I’m sorry I had a very hard time watching this video with the 3 younger girls taking over opening up the packages when it wasn’t their turn. It’s very sad seeing the boys sitting there and not receiving anything.
I would like to encourage the viewers to purchase items for the boys. I can't help but notice how much more the girls are getting. Not that it's a bad thing... I just feel like the boys look left out a little.
I love this family and their videos. Don't get me wrong. It just makes me sad knowing how many families in my community are truly in need of basic things. I just wish people would reach out to needy families in their communities to gift to people that have less than others. Sorry for the negativity....

I never meant for this comment to be taken negative. I come from a large family and only want the kids to be happy. I made an observation. I have watched most all of the unboxing videos to my knowledge. Yes it's fun and easier to find items for the girls but... as a mother of two 'now grown' boys...I watch the boy's expression and can't help but feel the need of some focus for them also. We had 8 girls and 4 boys in our family and my parents always tried hard to stay focused on equality of love . attention . and our daily needs. I feel this sweet family has the same values and does a great job at this also...it is a difficult task. I was only trying to send a small message for the happiness of not only the boys but...for the family. Because as you can all see...When one hurts in this home...they all hurt...True love.

I have no children in my house anymore, but the Princess Bride is still the most quoted movie in our house. A true family favorite for all ages. You are so blessed with all the lovely gifts. You will need to be gifted larger closets to store them all! Love the children's excitement. Bless you all!
The problem is they are only children and not used to having such amazing gifts.like janice has mentioned before they don't celebrate Christmas and they only receive a small gift from mumma and daddy on their birthdays and even that could well be a pass down or from a thifte store because of their frugal way. Maybe the older 4 are used to it now but the younger one's aren't. But I would love to see Sam David and Andrew receive some more great gifts like macarno lego airfix models ,word search books mens toiletrie sets things just for them .........I also really hope we get to see all the girls dressed up in their lovely outfits including Sarah when they next go to town church or to gatherings ❤

Hi Sam and Janice. I just wanted to address something that seems to bother a few people on here and it is a bit annoying. Maybe make all 3 little girls allow the ones opening the gifts, to finish opening them before they swoop in and take it from them. I love watching the opening of gifts and especially the ones that I sent, but the girls ruin it for me. They grab the package from the boys hands as soon as they see pink or something shiny. It was really fun and exciting seeing them excited....but it's really not anymore. I understand that you can't fix a problem, if you don't know it exists. If I was the only one this affected, I would keep quiet, but it seems it's becoming a problem for a few others as well. Thanks for the fun of watching your family. I look forward to seeing how you all cook, play and shop. It really is fun to come into your home and feel like we're welcomed. I had 1 girl and 2 boys and boys always let their sister be in charge and still r today and they r now 52, 47 and 44. Girl in middle. You r raising your children well and don't ever forget that. When the parent originally opens the package why don’t they read the papers then and write the name of the person who the gift is intended for on the front of the package. It might be more fun to open ones just for them. I realize not everyone tells who it is for but some do. Just a thought 😊
Shawn opens them to make sure no hate mail has been sent, they had some very mean words and stuff done to them early on, so this is a precaution, at least to my understanding

On gifts for kids- I have always found it so easy to buy little girl and little boy gifts. And fairly easy to buy teen girls gifts. But teen boys? Whew! I never know. I tend to do gift cards as a result. 🤷🏻♀️
Love seeing all the love your family is being shown. Makes me know there's still good people in this crazy world. I love to give it's my love language but being on a very limited income and my husband fighting cancer for the 6th time just won't let me. We are struggling very hard just to get raised beds built because of limited mobility since we are both disabled. Thanks for sharing.

It’s one of the reasons I work at a Hallmark store they have so many pretty things!! I have to be good and limit my spending so I’m not using my paycheck just to buy all the pretty’s!! I know what you mean the napkins are almost too pretty to use!!

Is there a particular type or age of history that Sam likes? I am finding some great books, but I would like to gear towards his preference. Also, novel or mainly reading or like a book (National Geographic Ultimate Visual History of the World) with pictures and snippets of information? Am I correct in thinking that Andrew and David would like 3D puzzles to put together? PLEASE RESPOND before I order, so I can tailor to their preferences. Was also wondering about decor, like an old map of the world for Sam's new room? Interests of the other boys for their room? TYVM
Oh Carolyn, we sure do appreciate you! I think the boys would be thrilled with any of the things you've listed. Samuel loves all of history (especially military history), but he probably reads mostly about the Civil War and World War II. I would say, of all the books on our history bookshelf, we probably have the fewest number of "modern history" books. Andrew and David are into anything to do with tools, building, or construction. I think the 3D puzzles would be a huge hit. Andrew is also very interested in guitar. There's actually very little wall space in the boys' new bedroom, but the ceiling would have some space where they could tack a map. I hadn't thought about using that space, but I think they would appreciate having a map in that area. Thanks for the great idea! The only other thing I can really think of that they do not have is a cool alarm clock. They used to have one that was shaped as a Star Wars character, but it has broken and we haven't replaced it yet.

Hello Everyone i am enjoying your opening the gifts videos as well as saveing money every week going shoping i love your family thank you i have to watch your videos when i can i often see that your gift opening is at night hours thats when i am sleeping or i will sleep at day time. I have to sleep when i can my hours are all messed up right now. Resting is one thing i am not doing right now.

Is there a particular type or age of history that Sam likes? I am finding some great books, but I would like to gear towards his preference. Also, novel or mainly reading or like a book (National Geographic Ultimate Visual History of the World) with pictures and snippets of information? Am I correct in thinking that Andrew and David would like 3D puzzles to put together? PLEASE RESPOND before I order, so I can tailor to their preferences. Was also wondering about decor, like an old map of the world for Sam's new room? Interests of the other boys for their room? TYVM
Also, would they enjoy paint by number sets?
Oh Carolyn, we sure do appreciate you! I think the boys would be thrilled with any of the things you've listed. Samuel loves all of history (especially military history), but he probably reads mostly about the Civil War and World War II. I would say, of all the books on our history bookshelf, we probably have the fewest number of "modern history" books. Andrew and David are into anything to do with tools, building, or construction. I think the 3D puzzles would be a huge hit. Andrew is also very interested in guitar. There's actually very little wall space in the boys' new bedroom, but the ceiling would have some space where they could tack a map. I hadn't thought about using that space, but I think they would appreciate having a map in that area. Thanks for the great idea! The only other thing I can really think of that they do not have is a cool alarm clock. They used to have one that was shaped as a Star Wars character, but it has broken and we haven't replaced it yet.

Sam has 7 books coming his way. The other stuff I will send once it arrives. It was easier to ship the books directly to save on shipping costs.
Also ordered Andrew guitar to be shipped directly. It makes me happy to do things for the boys.
