using that Unimog I can pull it out in ONE minute, that problem is they have headless leaders. what you do to solve is shovel the right ( underneath ) of the LandRover and pull to the left - one also needs long logs or thick planks to help the SUV ( under the tires ) out pushing out the SUV would not hurt either.

haha, it was a great day. mine was the red fourtrak going around. my mate has the record of breaking his rangie in the quickest posible time i think. he blew the front half shafts driving off the truck. then blew the rear diff showing us that he had no front wheel drive. ye had a great day. i was one of the lads holding onto the back of that landie when it nearly went down that cliff. good fun!
i know one thing from observing this. "What the hell ever they were hooked onto in the beginning must have some dang tough bolts in it cause it did not fly away." Take Care.

This reminds me of when I was a dinosaur and we used to sandbag some real old ones that were lost, walk there....no there.........no over there. That was after we gathered some grasses and covered bogs and they would just wander in eating the grasses not thinking about how deep in the muck they were. That musta been what happened here. Try that line right there Charlie...............Ya stuck are ya. That'll happen, I seen it before don't worry we'll get some cameras out here and............

I have been stuck in mud and snow a number of times. Had to winch myself out with a Come-along. I have never bent anything on my rig. Because you know what really helps? Doing a little shovel work first! I see these guys tearing the hell out of their rigs dragging them out of mud holes. Seems they must have more money than brains.
Another example of it being more important to have competent people at the wheel.
Better Defender driver wouldn't have gotten stuck, better Unimog driver would've had it properly removed on the first go.

Next time just start with the Unimog and you won't get stuck
