- Planning to buy a new ceiling fan or planning to replace your old fan, go for the Atomberg Gorilla E1-1200 fan. This is the most power efficient ceiling fan in India that is a bit pricey but in the long run will turn out to be a lot cheaper. Check this Gorilla Fan review to know more.
I bought two Gorilla E1-1200 power efficient fans from Flipart. The current fan that I was using I guess was consuming 75W+ power on 5 speed setting, the Gorilla Fan consumes 28W power on 5 speed setting. This Gorilla fan makes use of a totally different technology that does not need a regulator.
Most traditionally fans come with regulator that you use to control the fan speed. But on The Atomberg Gorilla E1-1200 there is no need of a regulator, in fact there is a special remote that you can use to control the speed.
These Gorilla Fan makes use of BLDC brushless motor that reduces noise, last longer, use less power (way less power) and delivers the same performance as the other fans available in the market.

Atomberg Gorilla E1 Performance
The air delivery was same when compared with older fan. The Gorilla fan operational sound was less, it runs almost 3 times more when using an inverter. You need to use the remote to control the speed. There is a LED light (red color) that lights up to confirm input and turns red when power is on but fan is switched off via remote.
There is no need to use a regulator, but I did not bi-pass the older regulator. I am still using the regulator and it can be used to control the Gorilla fan speed. It is not actually recommended, and in case you are using a regulator better keep it at max level and use the remote to control the speed.
Verdict
An excellent option (ceiling fan in India) if you are planning to buy a fan or thinking of replacing your old fan. Atomberg Gorilla E1 fan will help reduce fan power consumption up to 65%.

@@ztv8383 : Old ceiling fans which are 30 years old will usually consume 200 Watts of Power. Even now a days regular ceiling fans normally consume anywhere between 70 to 75 Watts of Power. But ATOMBERG GORILLA CEILING FANS consume just 28 WATTS of Power. So there itself you can notice the difference.

No, it has different technology. It works with DC Current instead of Normal AC. Ac current is converted into DC.
This is BLDC TECHNOLOGY. It is really double energy Efficient. I loved mine. I have no problem of power with INVERTER in my village.

Regulator should not be used as regulator is for changing the voltage. but in this case the fan is converting a/c to low voltage DC and a constant voltage. Regulator will only damage the a/d to d/c conversion circuit.
This is BLDC fan right ? I wonder why Havells , Bajaj or CG aren't introducing BLDC fans

Atomberg Fan ka motor speed price ke hisab se muje kam lagi. Motor speed at least 400 RPM honi chahiye thi.
Bldc - brushless direct current motors , well bldc might be a transformation but bldc fans are a disadvantage over an advantage , all bldc fans are built with a circuit board unlike ac motors that run on alternate current, there cannot be any best bldc fan , why?bldc fans usually are a headache after warranty , circuit board faults, remote control issues, starts up slowly, high voltage issues of circuit board burnout, in the present scenario bldc is not a very successful product most manufacturers usually have only 1 or 2 models some manufacturers are using bldc technology as a cash cow by showing power saving advantages the fact here is that bldc fans save power but at a negligible rate which is not appealing enough, brands like havells, crompton, orient and many others usually don't see the technology as a permanent solution to the power saving world. So they decided to introduce 40w to 50w ac fans which last longer and are highly durable compared to bldc fansEg of models havells es 40w, Orient energy star 48w, Crompton high-speed 50wOverall Would suggest an ac powered fan over DC ,
I agree. Too much technology is not good after warranty and repairs are a headache. Best is always the induction motor.

company gives 3 years warranty, by that time you will definitely save double than what you have paid for..DC motor technology is used in washing machines too, it saves lots of power guys. So go for it

wattage at max speed is around 32 watts.. check kiya hai.. bldc as a techonology is good but not yet reliable.. most known brands have tried to put it in the market but backed out due to number of complaints..
Yup i measured it.on 1 number 5 watt, 2 no 11 watt ,3 no 18 watt, 4 no 23 watt and full speed 28 watt

You need to replace your electricity meter , because there is a possibility that meter got hanged & unable to update the change reading it always shows the same or slightly + / - reading as per we regularly use . Kindly issue an application to electricity office to replace the old meter .

Gogi is this fan making noise when running on UPS Inverter after power cut? Ordinary fans making more noise when running on UPS Inverter. If you have a UPS Inverter at home then pls test it with that.

Even though the Ceiling Fan is costly, you can save a lot on Electricity Bills, since it consumes only 28 Watts of Power. Most of the Normal Ceiling Fans these days consume anywhere between 70 to 75 Watts of Power.
I have checked with my meter provide by government for monthly bill it's not 28 Watt as mentioned by company it's around 34Watt or 35 Watt power consumption .
