Makes me wonder ... How does BookBub feel about us bidding high when we clearly don't intend to pay the bid price? That is, bidding $20 PPM so they will give us prominence but with a $5 budget? Won't they see through this? Are they perhaps happy with this, as the price per impression is still high?
My understanding is that you're still paying the bid price. So, if you bid $20 for 1,000 impressions, but you've set a budget of $10, then you're still paying the same rate ($20 for 1,000 impressions), but instead of getting all the way up to 1,000 impressions, your ad would end up only being seen by 500 people since that's when your $10 budget would run out.
Thank you. Nice and clear. Well done
Thanks so much!
I've been testing targets/authors. Good to know about 2% or more as a guide to which ones are good for me or not.
Yup! Having a target rate for knowing what a good ad is extremely helpful!

What does CPM stand for? and CPC?
At minute 20:20, I got the answer - CPM (Cost per mil, cost per 1000 impression) & CPC (Cost per click)
You got it! Yeah, I probably should have made sure we got those defined a little earlier in the conversation!
Will BookBub allow you to link to StoryOrigin reader magnet landing pages?
@@mandyharpist Based on what Brian said, it sounds like they would, though, I can't say for certain.
