Might have worked if they still had grant wistrom at the time ! This is how colorado gashed them the next year! Northwestern just didn't have the athletes like colorado at the time! Once you break through the 5 yard area around the los there is only db's !
You Can't Blame A Crouch for this being him being the start of the downfall I mean I wasn't happy with how he went home and cuz he didn't get his way but dude was he was Rock Solid who's as fast as any quarterback we've had and he got up after every hit not to mention what he did to that Iowa back going in for the touchdown and he was hesitant to pitch because they the running backs kept fumbling they cost us a championship in 99 I can see why he was hesitant to do it really sucks at Tom retired why he had Bobby Newcomb and Eric Crouch in the backfield he might have won one if not two championships more more
Don't worry now-a-days that is all every team has to do for the ranking . And they would have ran it up on Nebraska if they could have ...... look ......... In college you have to let them play ....That is how they learn the good and the bad parts of sports ..........
Flea flicker, up by 35?
Northwestern was talking a lot of shit leading up to this game
@@markstepanekii388 Ok, I understand.
No quarter asked for, no quarter given.
Lol, Mike Golic when he was young.
And just as dumb
We were all young Robert. 😏
At the score to go 28 for Nebraska.
Pushing up front on goal line. “That’s how you play goal line football...”
As opposed to Frost calling 4 incomplete pass plays.
Nebraska won’t compete again until it starts running smash mouth once again.
Agreed but you need a dominant O line to do that.
Northwestern players where cocky and loudmouth , lots of cheap shoots......Nebraska ran the score up !!!!
If I remember correctly, Northwestern did a lot of talking before this game. Nebraska shut them up as the game went along.
crouch was the start of nebraskas fall
Only NU could have a qb hitting on 40% of his passes and they have 38 in a half.
Golic doesn't agree with calling a scoring play.
'Pin their ears'. I have to say !Ouch!
GO BIG RED
we were pretty good…too bad ESPN and the SEC, made us and most of college football completely irrelevant 22 years later. #always follow the money.
Why didn't they just put Michelle in the booth? ENOUGH ALREADY.
Two B1G schools
The amount of bitching from the announcers about running a flea flicker while up. As if a flea flicker is just a guaranteed touchdown. Looking back you realize how fast life goes, who has time to worry about what everyone else thinks about your team having fun.
Anyone else see that there was a Ricketts and a Schwab both playing for the huskers.
Two B1G school.
William Diemert Yep. Intradivisional game now.
Well, i c frost has nebraska back. Hahaha
Scott frost hides in closets
GBR
Franks heaving drinking and having an illegitimate kid would soon catch up with Nebraska 2 years after this which affected recruiting big time. Arguably they have really never recovered. T.O. made a bad hire in Frank.
I said "Arguably they have really never recovered" key word being "Arguably" Don't recall mentioning Callahan either. We won in those years because of T.O. not because of Frodo. When Frodo became coach he turned into a fucking drunk that had a illegitimate kid and recruiting suffered, because he was a fucking drunk. Remember his first year in Ohio? found pointed the wrong way on a one way street passed out at the wheel, DRUNK.
Er Rose AND you forget the liaison with another coaches wife.... The Arkansas coach that is.
@@errose5967 ya you try and deal with the stress of husker nation and it's idolizition of Nebraska football. Fuck. And I'm pretty sure he was drugged with GHB, it was released his info on that dui, and who gives a fuck about children of another mother that's life, doesn't mean ruin a man's life and a football program to boot. Oh ya and I'm 100% sure that of all Callahan drafted recruits oh like suh, etc, they were all recruited by guess who? Solich. He could recruit. Fuck look at carriker, incognito, suh [again] tierre green, don't give me that it was recruiting. He lost a 4yr starting qb, it takes at least 2yrs to develop an option qb for that system, damn, it's not like these shit spread offense, that you plug in and play. But some come on naturally and play or are gifted, Ie frazier, crouch, Turner gill, etc. It all booked boiled down to what society has become , a "What have you done for me lately" and that is what has become husker football the last 15/16 years, well Pelini, was a good coach and again came another duo shit athletic director who didnt understand or didn't care
@@rickmoreno6858 suh was a callahn recruit, graduated in 09. He was either apart of callahans first or second year clasd
@@nd-mr7om no he was a Solich recruit, it was the university of Nebraska led by Solich who found suh . Would have been coming to nu if Solich wasn't fired either way
JJ
Attention husker fans you shouldnt have allowed Solich to be fired! Look what he has done at the university of Ohio! They are in the MAC championship game just about every year. Look what has become of the greatest college program the last 15 years, it's sad, college football needs the university of Nebraska to be great again. I think frost can do it, but it's going To take just about 7 years before they'll be great again.
Well my belief is 3 more years and Nebraska will be playing for a National Title maybe sooner under Frost we stand I saw lot's of changes last year now let's see what happens this year Might be in a great suprize GBR
i think they'll win the West this year and Welp never look back
@@abramswoboda1127 lmao
"Look what he has done at the university of Ohio! They are in the MAC championship game just about every year." What? He's been there 15 yrs and been in the championship 4 times. Yeah, 15/4 ='s 7.5 only in a Neb fan's head.
Pop Quiz Shelia: How many of the 4 has he won?
"but it's going To take just about 7 years before they'll be great again."
lol, wouldn't 99% of his players be seniors in his 4th year. And you think he needs 3 yrs beyond that? Why is that?
