I agree with the spread. Notre Dame offense doesn't match up well against Penn State defense. Notre Dame can't hold a candle to Oregon or Ohio State offensively and those are the teams that Penn State struggled with. Penn State doesn't match up well against Notre Dame defense, although they have slightly better tools in the shed than Notre Dame offense does against PSU defense. If I were a Penn State fan, the deep concern would be PSU silly offensive play calling. I am waiting for PSU to be 3rd and 2 on their on 38 yard line, and rather than use Warren to shift the ND defense and use the power of one of their backs, Allar goes deep against ND corner who is more than a match for average PSU WR, and Allar gets strip sacked.

Penn State has always been solid academically, and the players were made to go to class and they were not taking payoffs. I know this because I'm related to an investigator who looked into the Sandusky matter. They weren't doing anything shady in recruiting or paying players or fixing players grades ever. The Sandusky matter is a different law-enforcement thing, but it's just ridiculous to bring that up now these days. Those people are long gone from the program and while I don't agree how they handle that, they were handling the academics in the players just fine otherwise

OSU 's receiver core is always insanely talented and this year is obviously no different. The freshman Moore from ND is really good but Morrison, who they lost early in the year to injury, was a better man corner than anyone on the OSU defense. I was at the SMU game and it was very cold, once Penn State got the two touchdown lead via the two pick sixes they just played a pretty conservative game. They did try a few things after that but they knew SMU was not gonna move the ball that day in that weather and temperature.

I really don't see George and Indiana is much better teams than SMU or Boise State. George has now lost three games, and they had a very close game against Georgia Tech they came from behind to tie it and then it took eight overtime to beat Georgia Tech. @ they're big games, first all games count secondly both teams that Penn State beat were ranked in the top 10 at the time. They are decent teams, not Ohio Ohio State level but they're still good teams and the fact that it's a winner go home makes them a big game. Now is the second season you win or you go home, nothing that these teams did prior in the season matters anymore and none of it is relevant. Notre Dame is much better than Northern Illinois, they've won every game since then. Penn State was within a play of tying Ohio State in their game against them but that was two months ago. They lost the Oregon State by one score a month ago. But now have won two games. None of the mental gymnastics back-and-forth matter and does not make a solid case for one team or the other it's a close game but personally I believe Penn State is better and that's why they win. No talking point about someone's schedule or this injury that injury matters now. You have to get out and play and score more points in the other team. I've seen plenty of underdogs win throughout the years and I seen plenty of favorites one it comes down to what these two teams do against each other on a neutral field tomorrow night.
