gameranx uggge de bugged
Fifa 99
You forgot Petscop
Could you guys please check us out, we really deserve a second look! Trust me! 😊🙏
I thought Parasite Eve was difficult.
I didn’t even have a memory card for the 1st 6 months!!......every game was a nightmare!!
That’s How it’s done haha same
That’s How it’s done lol me too. I replayed jet moto and ff7 until the dons nearly everyday
I used to play Megaman X4 without a memory card😂
Ha, I had resident evil, tomb raider, silent hill......unplayable when you gotta start from beginning every time 😂
I did not even know you need that until I turned off ff7
I'm shocked nobody thought of the original Gran Turismo licenses! That "Super" License especially, where the time limits were so strict, you needed to spend endless hours on trial-and-error repeats
oh yeah I remember those!!
GT was a key factor in my failing out of college in a year.
The game that had me crying so many times
Oh God don't remind me of that. I took me 6 weeks to complete the super licenses in GT1 And GT2 without Screwing up.
Mitsubishi GT for the win. Made that game easy. Best power, handling etc. At least thats what I remembered.
Who remembers printing out cheats and walkthroughs at Internet cafes
Or buying gaming magazines to see if the cheat you wanted was in them .
yeah that was it, there was even a printed Cheat Book we bought once that had cheats for 100's of games in it, used it for GTA a lot ;) on like ps2 i mean
When I eventually found all the cheats for GTA 3 , Vice City and San Andreas I made a web site about it on HTML the site has been taken down it was on a free server which only held web sites for 6 or 7 months this was way back in 2006 also I included cheats for the original XBox version of San Andreas .
Some of the cheats on Vice City worked for San Andreas although the rewards were different the only time I needed to cheat on Vice City was on The Driver mission for GTA 3 it was the Kingdom Come mission for King Courtney and for San Andreas it was Air Raid and Supply Lines for Zero .
Nowadays you're punished for cheating because if you put cheats in any game it will affect your trophy screen .
@@robertclark2253 so awesome hey dude. Well done for doing that and making a site. What a cool time in gaming history to be a part of these good old days. Awesome dude 👍
Thanks .
How ps1 difficulty compare today
Easy : hard
Medium : extremely hard
Hard : just quit already
Not as exaggerated as others may believe. The common design was:
Easy: Learn the game.
Medium: Get good.
Hard: Get Great.
Because of this, it actually makes sense to play a lot of older games on easy, because the other difficulties expect you to already know what you're doing.
So true
So true. There were some PS1 games I've finally beaten, learned tricks, and have mastered.
Now, I suck at them lol. For example, the Frogger on PS1 was kind of tricky at times, at least when it came to the Golden Frogs. I've mastered that game left and right and got all of them with no problem. Today, I have trouble just getting one and completing a one darned level 😅😭
Games were actually a challenge back then 😝
I play ps1 games on epsxe and dont find ps1 games that hard
My leg
Until todayI never knew what Driver's main gameplay was like... Never was able to beat the tutorial. Eventually me and my friends made up our own little game of who could drive around the parking lot the fastest with no damage 😂
Apoth T89
I also gave up on the tutorial
@@caseysand8227 I was too damn young to know what a 'slalom' was and nobody in my family knew either.
Had to get my uncle to do it, and gasped at how simply he did it.
I beat the tutorial as a kid, not the game.. lol
My cousin beat the tutorial but never the game. He could never beat the last stage
Couldn’t get passed it either but driver 2 was fun
Abe's odyssey was a toughy but Rayman was nuts. To this day it's the only PS1 game I never completed...
Get on that bud. You got it. 😉
Really? Out of the thousands of games on the PS1 that's the ONLY one?
Hell yea Abe's odyssey was super hard with the chanting and the farting....good times man, good times.
TheRealPentaP same here.... damn you RAYMAN
@@Shadowarfare117 i could only get to the instrument arenas lol
Putting Driver on Survival and passing the controller around the room, seeing who can last the longest. I miss that, it was a lot of fun!
I think my best was 1 minute and 15 seconds. Shit was crazy lol
Memories :D
The Tenchu series was my jam! I played so much I could speed run them. And the second one introduced the ability to build your own stages with an editor. The Tenchu series along with the Legacy of Kain series are at the top of my wishlist for reboots
I'm with you there, had so many of each item from just playing it over and over and over. Eventually I started making up my own stories as I played through a single stage in level select. Loved that game, rented it once, and within 15 mins of playing it, I said " When I return this, im going to the store and buying this right after." I'm breaking out Alundra, and Tenchu out of my closet this weekend, and playing the S out of them, man its been decades.........
Those classic NPC audio bites the guards would say while you lurked on a rooftop waiting for your poison rice to get gobbled up.
I would love to play a good remake, that stays true to the original audio/color pallet story but maybe more loot based and free roam.
Fuck yeah tenchu needs a reboot! So much nostalgia, my friends would call the main character ( rikimaru ) Ricky Martin.
Pepsi man.
The end.
Damn heart of darkness. The trip I'm taking down memory lane right now is making me tear up. Commandos installing on PC and I'm watching the cutscene with the boi and his puppy
Stay blessed Jake 🙏
Heart of darkness was pretty easy though wasn't it?
Bepis Man.
OMG yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Heart of Darkness definitely!
I read it like , pepsi maaaaaaaaan , and the theme where the giant pepsi turn on .
The first Crash for PS1 was especially difficult for its save mechanic: you could only save in bonus areas of the levels. And if you fail the bonus area, you don't get to retry. The difficulty would notably decrease if you could just save at the level select screen like in the remake.
Very true. That's why I never try going for 100 percent completion.
Yooo I just said this. I'll beat it one day . I have unfinished business. 😂
I’m one of those people that never got past the opening mission in driver lmao
Me too bro!
The last mission was hard as f....it was mostly luck to be able to get through it. Finishing that game is probably my greatest gaming moment lol
The trick of the parking garage is that it had to be done in a certain order to get a good time, and obviously NOT in written order. Also, there was no clue in-game :D
I quit several times that game for that reason. I mánage to clear that level AND i was able to reach the final level...but that was really, really hard. I just couldn't clear the game for that final level.
Pro tip on the first Driver mission: on the main menu go into the "training" section, you'll find a video tutorial showing EXACTLY what you are supposed to do in order to pass. Once you know what to do, it's very easy to pull off.
That damn Driver parking garage tutorial! Man, that sucked. Rest of the game was great, though!
Yep, didn't even explain what a slalom was. I was stuck for hours
I was stuck also good memories for some reason lol
I remember my brother and I passing the controller back and forth to beat that mission.😆 After what seemed like an entire day we finally beat the tutorial
@@Ray__E Yeah, same with me and my brother. Hours wasted on a turorial!
@@fcukugimmeausername there was a frikin' video that showed the entire parking garage.
Nice shout out to Alundra i have manged to finish it once. I still go back every now and then but I never finish it. But it needs a
re-realise and more love. It's one of the better Zelda clones
Wow!! I never finished it, also I have never meet anyone who actually played it.
I loved it!
@@anthonydeleon001 I was 13 or 14 I think. With hardly any other games to distract me. Now evey time I go back in get 30 hrs in and get distracted by newer shinny games haha. Also f#@k them ice sliding puzzles. Haha
I've heard of this game from various retro games RUclips channels, but never got around to playing it. I wish they made it available for the PS4 on the PSN Store. Don't really wanna hook up my PS3 just to play it.
i finished the game the boss battle is easy when you have magic and mp pots. yeah a time consuming game it was the era before internet was widely available.
I wanted Alundra but never got a copy.
Nothing screams difficult more than Mortal Kombat: Mythologies Sub-Zero.
For all the wrong reasons, unfortunately. Good example of total bullshit difficulty.
fuck that game lol
Beat it in 3rd grade. Never could beat mk2 tho
The second or 3rd level was like the hardest level in the game lol fuck that stage
michael scoggins same as me. Kintaro was impossible to beat and I even never saw Shao Kahn there.
Alundra was a amazing game. Played almost all games on the list. I never stopped until i completed a game ^^. Good times..
Man, I remember a game called Jet Moto... I'm tellin you... 😂
YES. JET MOTO WAS MY SHIT.
I still own jet moto 2
I was/am an absolute monster in Jet Moto. I still own it on PS3. Since I was a kid, I’ve mastered all of the tracks, and I show off on Nightmare on the Master difficulty.
@@MyManJFKTV that's dedication right there. Kudos. I gotta buy it again now.
@JFKTV same! do you remember being able to slowly ride up a vertical wall and then boosting miles into the air? i will never forget that game. spent so many hours playing it.
Abe's oddworld and metal Gear was really difficult when I was a kid
You mean Oddworld: Abes Odyssy? Ya that was a challenge. As for MGS I never really found it that hard, but if you're not that good at stealth it can be hard.
"* Farts * "
"Hehehe"
"Follow me"
"Ok"
U know what i never beat oddworld either
Lmao i remember the stress of trying to figure out how im gonna free a guy whose stuck between two mines, sneaking passed guards, perfect timed jumps
For me it was legacy of Kain: soul reaver and syphon filter 2.
I never completed syphon filter 2. But I loved lighting fools on fire with the taser.
Ahhh legacy of kain. Yes, hard indeed my friend. But also unforgettable.
@@ThatGuy-eq9mz So was the ending kkkkkk "to be continue"
Syphon filter 2 is completely beatable
Syphon Filter 2 was a nightmare. Awesome game though.
For me it was Vagrant Story because of that damn forest
I ground to a halt a long way in because I just got lost and benched it to play something else. Of course by the time I came back to it I hadn't the slightest idea what to do.
God, I'm pretty sure that gave me ptsd. I still remember the howls, the tweets from the trees, the nightmare on my first playthrough on ps1
Also, if you didn't prepare a proper weapon when fighting the final boss you were doing zero damage. Still one of my favorite games
Never got out of the first area, never learned that damn combat sistem
@@caelicolasthe key was a bag full of weapons. it was like golf, you only used the specific weapon on each enemy. That way each weapon became very powerful.
i didnt even watched the video and I guess Driver the tutorial mission
#8
That mission was easy
There are harder missions in that game
Also Driver 2 is a much harder game
Was one of my first PS1 games. And i beat it from start to finish in 1999.
Ok, maybe if it wasn’t registering what you accomplished, I get it. But it was SO easy. Just try to knock off things at the same time. I still remember what I did. Start with the burnout, continue accelerating straight until you knock off speed, do a lap while at top speed, then slalom, handbrake to do 180, reverse 180, 360 and you’re done.
When that guy said "Are you crazy??" I yelled "No, this Goddamn game is!"
Waiting for classes to end so you can run home and turn on the PS.
The intro of the console by itself was music to the ears.
Late 90s and early 00s, those were the days...
I know that feel man...
Thank you for mentioning Tomb Raider 3, my favorite game of all time.
You're welcome
Tomb Raider 3 was difficult, lol I rented it out and didn't take it back for weeks. Ended up having to pay the game shop almost as much as it would have cost to buy it in the first place.
Have to agree Baha it"s a real classic.
Hell yeah, that game is a legend
that driver tutorial was legit! and that one mission that you couldnt scratch your car....maaaaaaaan
Legacy of kain....soul reaver.
.......i still have no idea what to do
I miss those games. Need a revamp.
Same.
sopcannon god no. Keep legacy of kain pure and safe from hands of hacks do you want another Nosgoth? Cause this is how you get another Nosgoth!
Ditto. I got stuck at a level for years until I sold everything.
That is the only game that took me over a year to figure out and complete!
No mention of R-type Delta? That game was fkn brutal, I still haven't beaten it without cheats
Thanks man, you just made me feel good about myself about Driver. I hardly struggled with the beginning part or the rest of the game except for the last mission...
I had such a guilty pleasure for Ninja Shadow Of Darkness & Sub Zero Mythologies
Wow did you even play that? Those graphics are so blurry. that i get nauseous just looking at it
O yea! Had the strategy guide and everything. :D
The 1st Metal Gear Solid game was freaking hard when I played through it... it took me like 9 months to beat...
Metal Gear Solid isn't so hard... if you play on ''easy'', or ''normal'' mode, xd! Plus, the hardest part was the battle with Metal Gear Rex AND Liquid Snake! All the other parts isn't so hard IF you had played similar games before!
And Also Hard To Navigate
wow you suck, I beat that game in like 5 days.
@@Harkness78 🍺🥇 Here is your prize, beer and medal.
You are better than all of us, you are master and leader of this world.
Really? I mean sure, if your going for like a perfect, no alert run or something crazy. But as far as just beating it, like less than a weekend brah. 3 or MAYBE 4 days on hard.
Oh Ninja Shadow Of Darkness probably my all time favorite PS1 game, what a fantastic game.
I have fond memories of playing the demo of this game over and over again back when demos came on cds.
The Nostalgia! I remember playing Blasto over and over again on a demo disc. It was so frustrating but I loved it.
Yes! Finally someone has mentioned heart of darkness, amazing game
TheRidg11 I want a remaster!
Heart of darkness was a cool game, I never got passed that place where you mostly swimming under water, and there are plants hidden that will eat you.
A hard game is War of the North
Or Monster Rancher...I mean seriously have u ever tried to complete it properly?
Monster Rancher has 2 b the most annoying game created...because there r so many ways 4 u to either lose your monster or for it to die.
I still wake up at night questioning myself, WHY DID SPEND 3 HOURS ON ONE LEVEL OF CRASH BANDICOOT
The High Road?
that level irritated the shit out of me it was ridiculous even playing it on an emulator with quickloads @@DaSxcTaz
@@mountainbearoutdoors idk why people always found it hard i used to do with within a few lives haha
One of my bigger gaming feats is 100% completing that one. Had to get every box without dying on every level. The remake its only colored gems you need to get without dying.
Driver . had no idea what a slalom was until i randomly figured it out
The reverse 180 always gave me the most trouble.
I hadn't a clue what they meant by a Slalom either until I telephoned by cousins who already owned the game. After the fact I found out that in the main menu under "TRAINING" they have a video demo showing exactly what you are supposed to do in order to pull off the level.
Finally some recognition for alundra, took me a long time to finish the game but boy was it worth it, the puzzles are just insanely hard n fun
where's nightmare creatures? it's literally bloodborne from ps1
Yeh that was awsome game and really hard the wearwolfs used to scare the shit out of me.
It literally isn't bloodborne on PS1.
@@pedrochevez2090 He probably meant the gothic atmosphere and somewhat fast paced combat.Quick flintlock pistol attack midfight.
Remember having no clue on how to beat the final boss...tried for hours and eventually gave up
Yoooooo I forgot all about that one wtf
*Tenchu is a really cool and very difficult game. Especially bosses! Would add to this list the game Vagrand Story*
I hope tenchu comes back to current gen.....Sekiro was supposed to be a tenchu game but then plans were changed...im not hating on sekiro but I wish they'd have made a tenchu game that relies alot on stealth elements instead
@@3rdworldgwaming467 totally agree there, a proper tenchu game on current gen would have been epic
@@dumahdrummer654 I'd like a Tenchu 1 remake but with the original soundtrack kept because it was a masterpiece.
Tomb raider was not hard, because it was "hard." The controls made it mind numbingly hard.
Tomb Raider games were hard because you so easily get stuck not knowing where to go or what to do next and some of the areas were huge making it frustrating at times
The controls were pretty easy when you got the hang of them. They have set rules and are pretty precise due to the grid, you just have to learn timing and how far a standing jump will take you, how far a running jump will take you etc.
The save crystals didn't help, as a natural hoarder I kept pushing forward to far and having to play huge chunks of the game.
Tomb Raider 3 introduced some hard to find items required to save your game making the game extremely hard.
I thought Alundra was a very Well designed Game. Never thought of it as hard but Simply challenging.
Sooooo damn happy you included Heart of Darkness! I remember when my mother bought it for me. Ahhhhhh, the good old days!
FF7 was hard at times, the Emerald and Ruby weapons were no joke man
most ppl dont count those cause they are optional
@@paulbeach8949 easy for me when i train for luck....enough...
I didn't expect to see Heart of Darkness but I'm overjoyed that I did
I was stuck 3 min before the final boss in Alundra for 1 whole year. It was all about activating / deactivating some doors in the correct combination. After months of trying I gave up and when I played the game again I figured it out in half hour - to the point that I couldn't believe it. I loved that game. Amazing memories - thank you for reminding me!
I literally knew that Ninja: Shadow of Darkness would be on the list lol
You have no idea how pleased I was that you mention Heart of Darkness.
Definitely a game that needs a HD remaster!
Definitely!! Loved that game ..
I beat the game but i went thru hell for it
props for including Riven! All of the Myst games are awesome, incredibly hard, but fair, like you said!
OMG! Ninja: Shadow of Darkness was my first PS1 game alongside with Tomb Raider 2. so many memories
HOLY CRAP NUMBER 6!! I FORGOT THE NAME OF THIS GAME TILL TODAY!! THANKS GAMERANX!!!
Was so glad to see King's Field get some representation.
Also... Want a hard game? Try No One Can Stop Mr. Domino.
Same, feel like the KF series is so underrated. Its not that hard once you learn to strife and time your attacks/dodge's
@@Mikko74 I love KF games, and yes after you learn how it goes, it gets easier, but still a challange, sad they got replaced by Dark Sould games, they are not my cup of tea.
I remember going to Walden books in the mall when I was like 8 or 9 with my parents and I would always bring a notepad and I would sit in the floor and write cheats down while they shoppes
Absolutely loved playing heart of darkness as a kid. Still got it at home somewhere
what about Future Cop LAPD, that was a very hard game with weird controls
Lol yeah I never completed that one, platforming was really weird I always died from falling
Eat kaks
That game was easy for me, I unlocked even the extra stages on mp. It wasn't that hard.
@@CloudMcRip Maybe if I replayed it now it would be much easier, but I remember how much I struggled with that game as a young kid. I'm pretty sure I've done much harder things up till now in comparison like completing uncharted 1 in brutal mode so it's all just pretty much a matter of perspective.
That is just chess with robots
I loved heart of darkness! I played this game over and over when i was a kid. I think it's such an underrated game.
Man, I definitely remember that first level of Driver. I struggled so much and kept hearing "WATCH THE PAINT MAN" and "YOU WRECKED THE CAR MAN!"
Yeah dude. Somehow i got through it as a kid but i remember it pissing me off so bad, i was like "just let me play!!!"
Admit it, you never had a PS1. If you had, you would have remembered Abe's Oddysee.
Classic abe farting
Yo, yo yo, yo yo, yo (slightly fades) yo, yo yo
Legitimately challenging puzzle platformer.
I had a PS1 and I never played or even heard of Oddworld at the time.
Bite me!
So right bruh
Great list! I don't know if it's cause I was younger but a game I'd have on this list is Project Overkill.
That was a solid game
Loved Ninja: Shadow of Darkness!!! Played the hell out of it while listening to DMX Flesh of My Flesh Blood of My Blood
Pr1m3x1 I had it on a demo disc with tomb raider
Funny I did tenchu with it's dark and hell is hot
@@duckthename6312 fellow cowboys fan ✊ ahh man you needed the real thing
@@jacoblemoine6238 1 of my fav albums ever! Still have my original disc lol. Always wanted to play tenchu. Never did purchase it tho
@@killswitch229 never to late bro. It's so fun and so much content
THANK YOU.
I remember when I was little I got a hole of a demo of this interesting game, but considering the time (dial up internet) I didnt exactly look up of i could find the rest of the game somewhere.
AND YOU FINALLY TOLD ME THE TITLE. that demo of heart of darkness has been in the back of my mind for so long.
(also i swear, I'm sure i got the demo in a cereal box)
These games taught me the meaning of GRIND. Playing the same level for hours is like torture, but when you get to the end, man, you feel like you're on top of the world.
Abes oddysee is one of my favorite games ever
as well as abes exodus
Gameranx please review the remake of exodus when it comes out!
Not sure if it's really still a remake of Exodus since they made so many changes, it seems. Hope I won't be disappointed since I knew about Exodus before the first game and am afraid they might not handle it like New 'n Tasty.
@@Chizuru94 I think oddworld will deliver
@@bootleg_24 omg I had no clue they were remaking it! 😍😍😍
@@stevenblassingame7042 yeah!
it been delayed so many times since 2016
but im so excited for it
exodus is fucking gold!
It's Soulstorm
Tenchu was easy as hell once you find out the ultimate gamebreaking technique. the rice ball.
1. throw rice ball
2. guard walks to it
3. shank em
4. reclaim rice ball
Jay CFC hanging from the ceiling above it. 😂😂😂😂
Wow! Thanks for this actually. Lol
Hard ... difficult ... Hikimaru facing multiple enemies like a samurai ... "Come on man, climb on that roof and jump from house to house to the boss's open window!" 30seconds tops!
Loved, loved, LOVED ALUNDRA!!
3 games I struggled with:
**G-police
**Riven (marbles on chessboard.... I still have no idea)
**Vagrant Story
Maaam vagrant story!! Remember I bought ps magazines with walkthroughs but my 10 year old ass couldnt figure it put haha!
im so happy you included heart of darkness!
I never completed the tutorial of driver eventually convinced myself that, that was the game just that
2:43 put the speed to 0.5 and have fun ..
I was want to see the helicopter lens flare .
but " drunk mod" had me laugh
Lol that was year ago z youtube recommend this again & I still comment about how good that helicopter's lensflare was
Alundra is a really underrated game!!
Playing it at around 9 years old was a challenge. Never completed it but loved the concept and story
It's great to see Tenchu and Alundra represented! I finished both of them back in the day. They were both really rewarding, which is why I was able to finish them. By the way, I'd put the original GTA above all other games on this list. It took me ages to finish..
I had one of my Friends come over and help me because I couldn't get the tutorial of Driver.
One game that I found pretty hard to near impossible at some points was MDK.
mdk was a great game, the graphics at the time were insane. That is definitely one id like to see remade.
Looney Tunes SHEEP RAIDER ghost level LMAO
Okirene what a game
So glad you mentioned heart of darkness generally one of my favourite games of all time and i’ve only ever met one other person who even knows what it is 😂 I got stuck at the very beginning for weeks because I was very young and you have to shoot a wall in a specific spot to make it fall down and there is no indication thats what your to do lol but I ended up completing it and replaying it over and over what a game
In addition to some of the titles here, I found Kula World, Mythologies: Sub-Zero, and Ehrgeiz Quest Mode to be among the most difficult when I was a kid. There are probably more that I'm forgetting.
Ehrgeiz...agh!
Resident evil 1 should be added to the list for sure.
Crash bandicoot 1 its hardest game if yu try unlock all gems and diamond 😈.
Oh yeah! Remember that!
loved those games, it wasnt till like 4 years after the release back in the day i actually decided to go for it and managed to get all gems. Was a good time.
Back in that day, not many people realised that the first crash game actually had several bugs which would then be considered as a feature.
N.Sane Trilogy Crash 1 is much worse
I remember getting out of school at 3 p.m., home by 3:30, chores done by 4:30 and with no memory card make it to the third disk of final fantasy 7 by 9 pm. It was only when I explained to my parents what it was that I was actually doing and accomplishing that we were on the first stop to toys r us to get a memory card. Now that was difficult.
Thanks for reminding me this title! I really loved the stages!
I was still a primary school kids, so I would be stuck at a technical/hidden area spot. Sailormoon: Another Story's Dragon fight stage.
Wait..... crash bandicoot is a hard game?
Now i can call myself as hardcore gamer
Finishing it wasn't that hard, getting all the gems, on the other hand..
The first one was waaaay harder than the others that followed, especially compared to something like warped. I played and loved warped first so when I tried the first crash I ragequit so many times I just eventually tried to 100% warped instead. May not be hardcore but definitely something worth mentioning. Besides, the list had all these obscure titles it was nice to see a very familiar one.
@@Vaguer_Weevil yes! It's really killing me to play the game without dying just to collect that damned colored gem
Not hard just frustrating
Came here literally just to see if the opening scene from Driver was on the list. Was not disappointed.
“YoU WrECked tHE cAR mAN”
Thanks for giving some love to my dear friend Blasto!
The atmosphere and fun of these games has never been duplicated in modern games nowadays
I grew up playing this game called einhander or something like that. It was super hard
I remember the music. It was a little weird. Loved the demo. Played it for hours.
Exactly me too, I never beat it as a kid
I was playing it a few weeks ago. I had this buddy who beat it in two days. He was just too good with shooters and street fighter.
I did finish the tutorial in driver but I recall much anger and frustration and many many swear words being used.
WOW! I had Kingsfield as a kid and I have been searching for that game for ages... I couldn’t remember the name. I honestly thought I had just dreamed it up haha. Thank you gameranx! And YEAH that game was hard af never got past the 1st level. That giant squid thing scared the shit out of me
I agree on most of the list, but I had to think of Lufia 2 for SNES, when you mentioned Riven and Alundra :D
I finished Riven, but I never played Alundra so I can't really tell if it's that hard, but Lufia 2 had some REALLY challenging puzzles in late game!
Parasite Eve was super hard as well you should cover that another video
I still havent beat that game , it just take tooooo long
Yeah it was
I loved parasite eve 1 & 2
We need another King's Field. They were the perfect combination of open world RPG mixed with horror.
@iTzDaRFYoDa 12357062 Many argue that the Souls series is the spiritual successor to King's Field. While this may be true, King's Field had a certain feeling of horror and isolation that no Souls game seems to capture.
Much like how Riven was new to console gamers, so was Discworld, my first experience with point-and-click adventure games. I was so lost. I had to buy an expensive strategy guide (pre-Internet), but then my memory file got corrupted before I could complete it.
The Discworld books are amazing, though.
I still have Fear Effect and Fear Effect Retro Helix. I love them. I beat both multiple times. I still wish they would do a hd remaster.
How does the third stack up?
Dose anyone think that these era games were so hard so that the company’s could also sell strategy guides?
Just popped into my head.
What about Dino Crisis? The puzzles in that game were pretty brutal, too.
Omg, I remember the last stage in driver. The game was difficult, but the final stage was unbelievable. You had to drive across the city with barely enough time and dodge what seemed like hundreds of police and FBI vehicles who were faster than you. I will never forget that experience.
Einhander was not only a really fun game but also really hard, I'm surprised ppl don't talk about it more.
A real pity, indeed. Still have fond memories of Einhander (played all Squaresoft games back then, this, FFVII and Xenogears were among the best).
Jokes on you I beat Rayman *AND* I did it without the 99 lives cheat. I just grinded to 99 lives instead.
*_SNES games has joined the server_*
kid games joined the server.
Alundra was soooo awesome! I totally forgot about that game.
Not only could I not pull off a slalom, but I didn’t know what a slalom was and I didn’t have the internet to look it up! Good times
Armored Core
idk if anyone remembers that game but it used every single button simultaneously
great game anyway
Yes loved that franchise
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver... enough said!!
Also Akuji
Blood Omen was brutal too
Soul reaver was easy compared to blood omen 1, the only thing that made soul reaver even remotely hard was you weren't told where to go, nice to see others that have played it 🙂
@@dumahdrummer654 I geeked out on both shortly after defeating castlevania sympathy of the night

Heart of darkness such a great underrated gem. Probably wanna thank this one for all the inside, limbo, little nightmares, etc type games
Yep, most definitely. That's how I found out about this gem, by reading post after beating Limbo on Reddit. Somebody mentioned HoD I knew I had to try it, at 2nd disc on psVita now
Ahh Alundra, that was a great game, I was young so it was super tough for me, but I would totally be down for a remastered version
