Have the same Makita string trimmer. Cord a bit awkward to reload and found that spraying some WD 40 on the wound reel & mechanism helps improve cord release when you tap the trimmer for more cord. It cuts very well and sure beats dragging an extension cord or running a noisy gas motor. For small to medium sized yards, Makita cordless tools are superb.
Whenever you want to record another demo, you're welcome to use my backyard.

Based on this film I bought it. Very happy with it!
Glad to hear that
This video is all I need it, tomorrow getting one. Thnx!!
exactlly. Usually people talk talk talk ... and cut a grass which is already cut ... this one is perfect. I buy !
Hi what is the full model number for the makita trimmer please great video
DUR181Z (bare only), DUR181RT (charger and 5Ah battery included)
I will settle with Husqvarna 122c. Hope it will work better. Thoughts?
That required some patience, but got the job done. I would think that for this kind of foliage a stronger model would make sense.
Agreed! For this kind of job, the Makita 36V string trimmer would be much better suited for this. I've been watching a ton of Makita string trimming video's, because I am planning to buy the 40V professional model, since I do semi-professional lawncare, as well as doing my own yard. But the string trimmer that this guy is using, is a light duty 18V home owner model, its not really designed for this. Having said that, I am amazed at what it can do!
Hi. How long did it work with one battery?
About 40-45 minutes with a 5Ah battery. But it depends on the grass
I just got model makita 191lzX2 with 2x 5.0ah battery plus charger this vid just help me how strong this machine on the mission.TQ
Great! What amp hour was the battery?
5Ah
Comprei um hoje, depois de assistir seu vídeo.
Vou esperar chegar, já tem até cobra no meu jardim 😂😂
Vou tirar meu filho do computador, ele passa o dia todo jogando videogame , agora ele vai trabalhar.
Obrigado , um abraço do Brasil.

Exactly, not much talking, straight to business ;) getting one tomorrow
@@nutnaa got mine, really happy with it. 5ah battery lasts for pretty long. shoulder straps could be better :D
@@2x2on4 loving mine, 45m2 of my garden was done in 30 min with 3 bars left on the battery. Tried strap, didn’t like it, so I use it without it.
Does anyone have the 4ah battery? And how long did it last?
How well does it do with the 4ah battery
Maybe 35-40 minutes
thank youuuuu
Your definition of "Tall Grass" is amusing, my definition of tall grass is grass that is has grown to at least 1.5 meters in height.
Sure, 5 meters, we cut the Sequoia with a single wire trimmer.
grass roo tall for mikita goog shering
if u own makita kit and have chargers then buy this. the other options for that price are dog shit. the black and decker on eis 90 quiod bare bone and the battery 2.0a will last 10 mins tops. the 5a makita battery lasts 20 mins and takes 20 mins to charge. the bnd one takes 4 hours LMFAO. no brainer.
im a gardener and i use the makita strimmer and the makita er2600l petrol strimmer for bigger jobs. both carried with me in the van. i always get done what is asked of me. the string line that comes with the makita is a bit standard for my liking but if you buy something tougher its a really really good strimmer. even for edging
seems to be really slow cutting
I just say Stihl FS38
Idk if it's the trimmer or the guy cutting hahah too slow
Both :D I couldn't force the trimmer into those big weeds, and the trimmer cuts with a single wire, it does not have an extraordinary efficiency. If you don't want to destroy it after something like this, you will work with it slowly.
This is OK for a trimmer. It can't eat tons of grass. With my Dolmar MS4300.4U it would be done in half of that time :-)
The guy is just demonstrating and showing its capabilities give him a break he's not trying to sell it
