When I hear this song I imagine the renaissance era (the imagery of when there were kings and queens, jesters and peasants and such) and I can just see Hozier singing this song in the middle of a town and just ultimately capturing the town's folk and everyone nearby's attention just singing his heart out with a band backing him up. Idk why but his voice in this song just sounds SO main charactery of a fairy tale, just so powerful and ahead of it's time.
