I think he was more likely referring to the "All i have Live Show" where crowd was literally sitting until he told them to stand up xDD and even after they did not a single one of them put their hands up. I know this crowd isn't so interactive either but at the other hand school talent shows are always kinda cringy and unless you're the favorite kid you usually won't get much of yelling and hands up xDD
But also cool old reference is in song "no name" where he said i used to wear lil tie with a black vest. And if you look this song where he sang it in different school i guess "that's alright live" or try something like that, he literally had tie with a black vest xDD...

10 years later and he still has the same passion, if not even more. Nate seemed more happier on this tour so I am assuming his next album may be the most positive one he has made so far which is exactly what we all need.
