- I have owned both the Louis Vuitton Key Pouch and Louis Vuitton 6 Ring Key Holder for over 5 years. I purchased them around 6 months apart from each other, and have used them both almost on a daily basis. I thought it would be great to do a comparison between the two highly sought-after pieces given their similar functionalities as key holders. I have the Key Pouch in the classic Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas, and the 6 Ring Key Holder in the iconic Damier Ebene Canvas.
In this video, I provide a quick overview of each item - I provide a more in-depth review of the 6 Ring Key Holder as I have already done an in-depth review of the Key Pouch ( • LOUIS VUITTON KEY POUC... ). I review both of the items, show you how they can be used and what each can hold. I also show you how to use the keyring clasp on the Key Pouch and how to attach your keys to the 6 Ring Key Holder. Both items have held up extremely well over time, and in this video, I also show you the wear and tear of each of the pieces and let you know which one I would recommend if you could only choose one.

I have both and for keys I prefer my 6 ring key holder. Mine is in epi leather and I chose this because it has no glazing, it is folded stitched leather instead so there are no glazing issues to deal with. It also has silver hardware which does not show wear as much. I use it every day!
The epi leather 6 ring key holder sounds so luxurious! 😍 I didn’t know it didn’t have glazing on the edges. I might need to look into it when mine is on its last legs 🤣

Great video because I received my 6 key holder in monogram today. Your video is still correct it does not state where it is made other than the stamp that you showed. I missed it when unboxing mine earlier today. The date code on mine was in the same location as yours.

Late to this video but my 6 ring does have a date code in bottom inside the card slot. My glazing lifted on the top after only a few uses but they fixed it
😱 OMG it’s there!! I was so adamant to see so I seriously stretched it and it’s THERE!! 🤯 it’s soo hard to read though. I think if I try to read it I will stretch it out too much and ruin it 😅 it’s super tightly glued on which was why I could never see. But wow. After all these years and I only just found it 😂 at least I know it’s authentic! 😂😂 thank you so much for the reassurance! I probably wouldn’t have checked/forced it otherwise 😅💕

I was actually considering the key holder a few months ago! Might go with the pouch instead now 😅 scared of denting the canvas 🤣
They’re both great pieces! The key holder is bound to get dents and scuffed up - I guess it’s better that gets worn than the inside of your handbags! I think if you have a small set of house keys, you could definitely get away with just using the key pouch but if you have lots of keys or bulkier car fob like mine, the 6 ring would be the way to go. Let me know what you decide to get if you get one 🤗💕

Haha they’re both great pieces! But if you had to choose one, definitely the key pouch! It’s soo much more versatile and my favourite SLG from Louis Vuitton by far ☺️
I have the key pouch in mono ! I don't really like the key holder though but I would like more key pouch, one for my house keys, one for my car keys + garage, one for my parents keys, with different canvas each 😍

I recently bought the 6 key holder from the website. I’m surprised to realise that it’s quite hard, like it’s not flexible and mouldable like the canvas on the bags. Is this the case with yours? bc yours doesn’t look sturdy (hope this makes sense)
The canvas is definitely thicker than my other SLGs from Louis Vuitton! I’ve had mine for a few years so it’s stretched out a bit but the canvas is still really sturdy. That’s a good thing in my opinion because you’d want something that can withstand your keys in the long term ☺️
I have two 6 Key Holders...one purchased in February 2020 and the second I just received a couple of days ago. I bought both from LV online and they both have date codes. The code is hard to see-it’s at the bottom behind the flap.
Yes I found it! I literally had to stretch the flap to see it and I can only see half of the numbers. I can make out what it is but LV really hid it well! Thank you 🥰

You have to really pull out the flap part where the cards go to see it 😅 I also had to use the torch on my phone to see because it was so dark.
So basically the sales associate either lied or didnt know what they were talking about.
I think they were probably just new and didn’t know what they were talking about 😅😂
Between the monogram card holder and the key pouch which would you go for?
Definitely the key pouch! I love the zipper closure. You can house keys, coins, cash and cards whereas the card holder would really just be cards and some cash. The key pouch is much more versatile 😊

Thank you! The 6 ring key holder is great if you have a lot of keys and purely just want it for housing your keys. It can fit a couple of cards too ☺️ I just find the key pouch more versatile if you have less bulky keys and want to use it as a mini wallet.
@@helloxluxury I only want it for a key fob because I want to be able to grab it easily. I think with the 6 key it will be sticking out of the bottom... based on another review I just saw.

My 6 key ring has a date code at the very bottom opposite to the key ring holders inside the insert card pocket. 😊

Would you recommend either of these over the Orbitkey
Hmmm even though they all house your keys, they all serve different functionalities, so it depends what you need. The 6 ring and key pouch are great if you don’t want to carry a separate card holder as they can act as a card holder too but the orbit key is super compact and fits in just about any bag! It’s also a lot more affordable. If I had to choose, it’ll be the key pouch though because I love the versatility of it 😊

I'm really confused between zippy coin purse or 6 key holder. Which one should I buy?
They both serve different functions! The zippy coin purse is definitely just a wallet, whereas the 6 ring key holder houses your keys but can be used to hold a couple of cards. No more than 2-3 cards though. So it depends what you need.

Would you recommend the T19 over the cosmetic pouch PM size? I love the silhouette of the cosmetic pouch but I worry it’ll wear really quickly because the corners are really pointy.

Yes all LV items has a Date code. Everything
I don’t own the T26 or anything from that line but I think it should - definitely with the more recent pieces they should all have a date code!
I own the toiletry 26,19 and 15 all has the date code.
My key holder does have a date code I bought it in 2020
Thank you! Yes I eventually managed to find mine! The leather piece was really glued and stitched on so it couldn’t see it - I had to partially stretch it out and even then, I can only see half the date code, but at least I know it’s there! 😅
Does pepper spray will fit in the pouch .?
Good question! I don’t own pepper spray but I don’t think it would from what I’ve seen. It mainly just fits house keys, key car fob and some cards and cash.

That's so weird that your 6 key holder didn't have date code. I see a lot of consignment places that are selling this and they have date codes. Some are even made year 2000.🤔
😱 I honestly can’t see it! Maybe the SA that helped me was new and didn’t know? I’ll have to take another look or take it in again to the LV store to check!
