  • In this video I show y'all how to install the Vapor Trail Gen7x Drop away rest and tie the activation cord. This video is next in a short series in which I show the ins and outs of setting up your bow to be able to shoot. I hardly know it all when it comes to archery, but I have learned a few things along the way and my goal is to try and show and describe things in different ways that you may be able to pick up on and it helps you. If y'all have any questions along the way, shoot me a message or drop a comment. Is there a way to adjust the spring tension on the rest arm? I feel like mine thwacks down hard and louder than it should at launch. I'll loosen the cord slightly till it's just holding the arm down like in your video.

      Without taking it apart I am not aware of anything simple. Like you said at the end of your comment about loosening the string is probably the issue. If that thing is super tight it will slam down pretty good. Loosening it should do the trick!

      Yeah don’t pull the cord super tight. One of if not the best rest on the market.

    Can you make or convert a cable driven rest to a limb?

    • @j2carchery
      @j2carchery  Год назад +1

      Not that I am aware. Limb driven when you are not drawn the mechanism is in tension to start and when you draw it comes to “rest” position. With a cable drive the rest will stay in a relaxed position but when you draw comes up to “rest” position in tension. I may be wrong but I don’t think it’s possible because they work in opposite ways

      Huge fan of this rest. You pay for it, but if money isn’t a problem, this is where I’d go

      @@j2carcheryI just installed this rest on my son’s bow PSE Drive NXT. Easy setup. I am currently running the Gen I8X on my Darton Sequel 33. Don’t sleep on Vaportrail.
