Ya it’s killer isn’t it! They were definitely hot back then. Entire band was tight. Sax is kick ass. Like the bass player and the drummer is gettin it on to. Only wish I could have seen this show. In my opinion this would be a great song to be all hot and sweaty with your lover on a hot summer night outside somewhere and to actually have it start raining. I’ve had some great nights like that with mine.
The exquisitely smoky sax solos only enhance the melancholy wistfullness of this superior live version. Dave Stewart's extended guitar solo creates the feeling of an approaching storm and its' aftermath. Bravo!

This is my 2nd favourite live version of this song. The version they did in 1988 for Nelson Mandela was just that bit better in my opinion, as good as Dave's solo is here, the one in the 1988 performance is fucking orgasmic.
If you want to go full stadium/electric rock go all the way :) I'm surprised it's only sax, not the whole brass band. Almost minimalist by stadium standards.
