I watched a show the other day that really opened my eyes. Medical professionals took replicas of the Roman whips and hit a hanging pig carcass. The Roman whips has small sharp pieces of metal, woven into the leather. Before our Lord was nailed to the cross, his back was shredded (down to the ribs) THEN.... they gave a graphic description of what happens to the victim of a crucification. (I won't go into it) BUT... Jesus knew he had to die, so that his blood would wash away the sins of anyone who accepted that he was sent by GOD for tha purpose. Knowing what he endured for me, brought tears to an old veteran that's seen too much misery in this world. PRAISE JESUS, I eagerly await your return.
I've never understood why people say Jesus was humiliated. He did nothing wrong and brutal savages were torturing and killing Him. He knew He was fulfilling prophecy. There was nothing to be humiliated about. He suffered and died to save us. "Greater love hath no man than to lay down His life for another.". There's nothing to be humiliated about in that. He's our hero... Our Savior. I'm proud of him, even though I don't think we're worthy of His sacrifice.

I’ve never heard people say he was “humiliated?” Though the process was designed to be humiliating. This is why they made fun of Him as well as mocked Him. Do you understand?
Adding some humanity to it. We don't know the memes/slang terms and phrases they used at that time. It could have been his humanity spilling over, and the common version of this sucks was my god why have you forsaken me, because it's a direct reference of the Bible and also a commonly used phrase for when things aren't going well. Maybe, but if I was being tortured to death I would be asking god to save me, and thinking god had abandoned me. I think psalm 22 is prophetic about what Jesus said and felt in that moment. Just my thoughts. Its probably both interpretations

Verse 6 says; but I am a worm and not a man, a reproach of men and despised by the people. I was curious as to what the worm meant. I believe it is referring to a crimson or scarlet worm called Coccus Ilicis, which is common to the middle east, mainly in Israel. It's colour is blackish-red, like blood. When crushed it is used to dye fabric. When the female worm is ready to lay her eggs, she climbs up a TREE and attaches herself to it. She forms a hard CRIMSON shell. She lays her eggs under her body. When the larvae hatch they feed on their mother's body for (3) days! After this, she dies and her body excretes a CRIMSON or SCARLET dye that stains the baby worms. The baby worms remain CRIMSON or SCARLET for their entire lives. On day (4) the tail of the dead mother pulls up into her head, forming a heart shaped body that has now turned SNOW WHITE and looks like a patch of WOOL. It then flakes off of the tree and falls to the ground like SNOW. SCARLET is the colour used in scripture to depict sin. Revelation 17:3-4 the woman was sitting on a SCARLET beast, which was full of names of BLASPHEMY. Isaiah 1:18 " though your SINS are SCARLET, they shall be WHITE as SNOW: though they are red like CRIMSON, they shall be as WOOL. I also found that the curtains within the tabernacle were woven from blue (authority), purple (royalty) and scarlet (sin). The Romans stripped Jesus and put a SCARLET robe on Him. In my opinion the tabernacle foreshadowed the coming of Jesus. This worm ties the tabernacle to the cross (tree) and resurrection, in which we are forgiven our sins. Revelation 7:14 refers to the people saved from the great tribulation. They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the lamb. Psalm 22 is very prophetic including the suffering of Jesus on the cross. His shoulders dislocated and His body was pierced. Many prophecies were fulfilled including casting lot's for His clothes. The worm actually ties everything together neatly, including some prophetic verses. I hope you get as much inspiration from this worm as I did.

It is my understanding that for the first three hours He suffered the normal torture that crucifixion is intended to inflict. However, the final three hours were unspeakably different. The sun was blotted out, the sky went dark and the real suffering began as the full fury of Gods’ wrath and punishment for the collective sins of the world was poured out upon Him. This punishment was meted out full measure, not only 'in' the presence of the Father (as symbolized by the darkness ie: Gods’ presence in Judgement & punishment), but 'by' the Father Himself. Yet not one complaint was heard from our Lord during the horror of this ordeal. He willingly became our sacrificial Lamb and bore the burden of our sin in Himself. However, the full and final consequence of sin is total, absolute, and eternal, separation from God. Therefore, in order for Jesus to redeem us fully, He had to endure that final and worst imaginable insult, the complete separation from His Father, which he had not, in all of eternity, ever before experienced. This, seemingly unexpected agony, coming at the end of a long day of ever intensifying torture, was by far the most shocking experience of our Lords’ ordeal in completing His selfless act of sacrificial love and obedience to His Father in securing the redemption of His most special and most loved creation, mankind. Dude .. why when you throw an object upwards it eventually drops down? It’s a law right .. same with sin . There is a punishment for every sin . Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice because he is sinless yet he suffered and died for our sins .. so we can be forgiven and saved from punishment .So NO our Sins couldn’t be forgiven if he didn’t die on the cross .
