That grandma baji shop has been there for 45 years. She increases the price for every 10 years. She has also received some award (certificate of appreciation) from the French Government for maintaining the same quality and taste.
I visited Pondicherry years ago and one night had dinner on a rooftop open air restaurant run by 2 young men. Fried rice, chilli chicken and beer. You can also smoke near the parapet. Its close to the beach. I don't remember the name. Its very cheap and frequented by foreign tourists. Any idea if it exists today?
The worlds best mutton samosa n soup , I am not joking - being out of country, I really really miss it... also I have tried soup in ‘n ‘ number of places in India too but this one in Pondy is just yum😋 .... I wonder y only 9.5 rating!

Which ood u like most sir in Pondicherry? There is no food in original.it is a fusion of French,italian food only.All the recepies are tasteless.I satyed 2 years ,I didn't find a single taste.But biriyani near PONDICHERRY University I am fond for that.

Word Paati is more common in Southern Tamilnadu and Aayah is a slightly disrespectful word there.
